In the Shenyang Marshal's Mansion, there is a couplet written by Zhang Zuolin himself: "One pill saihan valley, three arrows fixed the heavenly mountain", it is said that Lao Zhang held back for several days in order to write this couplet, and finally lamented that writing something was much more difficult than shooting a gun. For Zhang Zuolin, who was born in the grass, this rather bold couplet is written about his own heroic mood at that time, which uses two allusions, one is the story of Kui Huan, who divided Gansu Tianshui in the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, who wanted to compete with Liu Xiu of the Eastern Han Dynasty by virtue of the danger of Hangu Pass, and the other is the story of Xue Rengui, a famous general of the Tang Dynasty, who "set the three arrows of the general to the Heavenly Mountain, and the strong man sang into hanguan" when he fought against Tiele, which was Zhang Dashuai's idol. Not only Zhang Dashuai, but also Xue Rengui, all Liaoning people seem to have no reason to get around.
In many places in Liaoning, many place names are related to Xue Rengui, and in many places, there are all kinds of legends about Xue Rengui, although this Tang Dynasty general is not a native of Liaoning, but his influence on Liaoning people is unique.
So, what is the biggest feature of Xue Rengui's grandfather? I think it's a word – fierce!
The white-robed young general shook Tang Taizong's eyes
It is said that Xue Rengui's ancestors were also prominent, but in Xue Rengui's generation, it was an absolute grassroots. In addition to having the strength and the amount of food, it seems that there is no backing and background. But Xue Rengui is born bold, and he has more strength than ordinary people.
The phrase "Chao Wei Tian Shelang, Twilight Heavenly Son Hall; Xiang Ben has no seed, and the boy should be self-reliant" this sentence was an ancient encouragement to readers, but it was used on Xue Rengui, but it was very appropriate. Xue Rengui, who had not yet made a difference until he was 30 years old, wanted to change his fate by moving the ancestral tomb, and was taught by his daughter-in-law: The emperor is conquering Liaodong, you do not take this opportunity to make meritorious achievements, and every day you wonder what the ancestral tomb is doing! Xue Rengui heard that this was also the case, so he joined the Eastern Crusade Army.
A small soldier, trying to get ahead, is not easy to talk about. Xue Rengui did it, and there was only one way: not to be afraid of death.
In the nineteenth year of Zhenguan (645), Tang Taizong personally conquered Liaodong, on the battlefield of Liaodong, the forward general Liu Junqiong was besieged by the enemy regiment and could not escape, at the moment of crisis, Xue Rengui single-handedly stepped forward, directly took the head of a general of the enemy army, hung his head on the horse, the enemy looked frightened, all scared away, this time, Xue Rengui's name spread in the army.
It is fortunate that the supreme commander xue rengui met was Tang Taizong - this battle was in Anshi, facing 250,000 enemy troops, Xue Rengui read the famous saying "soldiers who don't want to be generals are not good soldiers", knowing that the emperor was watching the battle from a high place, Xue Rengui did not want to lose the opportunity. So he put on a different white robe from the other soldiers, held the Fang Tian Painting Sword, and single-handedly entered the position of the enemy army and disrupted the enemy's position. The white clothes of this fierce general shook the eyes of Li Shimin, who was watching the battle from a distance, and quickly asked, "Who is the young general dressed in white?" After the war, Li Shimin immediately summoned Xue Rengui, who was still a small soldier, to give him two horses, 40 silk horses, and ten people as slaves, and promoted him to the position of guerrilla general and Guoyi of Yunquan Province. Tang Taizong also left a famous saying: "I am not happy to take Liaodong, I am happy to have such a great general as Xue Rengui!" ”
In front of the Pegasus Formation, capture the enemy sharpshooter
After showing his face in front of the emperor, Xue Rengui became a general from a small soldier, but for a while after that, he did not have the opportunity to go to the battlefield again, but became the emperor's gatekeeper general. However, it was precisely because of the gatekeeping that he gained the trust of Emperor Gaozong of Tang, when Guan Zhongshan flooded suddenly, seeing that he was about to rush into the Xuanwu Gate of the Chang'an City Palace, everyone was scared away, only Xue Rengui climbed on the door alone, and shouted a big voice inside: There is a big water, the emperor is running!
Since then, Xue Rengui has become a trusted talent in the eyes of Emperor Gaozong of Tang. This trust was also bought by his bravery, although he was facing a flood, not an enemy army.
However, the land of Liaodong was destined to be related to Xue Rengui. In the third year of Xianqing (658), Xue Rengui, who was already 44 years old, finally began to command his own army, and the battlefield was still in Liaodong. In the fourth year of Xianqing (659), Xue Rengui led his army to fight with the enemy general Wen Shamen at Hengshan, Xue Rengui took the lead on horseback, and the enemy army was defeated and fled. Although he was already the commander of the army, he was still a pioneer, and this Xue Rengui was indeed not an ordinary fierce. In this conquest, Xue Rengui showed the bravery of the first rank of the enemy general among the ten thousand armies in the Battle of Shicheng. In this battle, Xue Rengui still rode alone to charge the front, and everywhere he went, the enemy army fell silently, but at this time, the other side had a sharp archer, who shot more than ten people of the Tang army in a row, Xue Rengui was angry at a glance, but he did not use the best archery to confront the other side, but rushed straight over, quite the courage to "crash into and sink Yoshino", he did not matter if he rushed forward, this sharp archer was frightened and his hands were straight, the arrows were not allowed, and he was captured by Xue Rengui's horse.
Ice and snow, kill the white-robed divine soldiers
In Xue Rengui's life, Liaodong is definitely his blessed land, in addition to the "Three Arrows Dingtian Mountain", other brilliant places are in the land of Liaodong. And leading two thousand cavalry to raid Buyeo City showed his bravery to the fullest.
In the second year of Qianfeng (667), Xue Rengui commanded troops to march on Liaodong, which was a decisive battle, and after eliminating the main force of the enemy army, Xue Rengui decided to send troops to Buyeo City to completely destroy the enemy army. This strategy was correct, but Xue Rengui only planned to lead a surprise attack of two thousand cavalry, which was a bit frightening, because there were 100,000 defenders in Buyeo City at that time.
Many people opposed Xue Rengui's idea, but Xue Rengui said: "There are not many soldiers, it depends on how the general uses it!" ”
Although the enemy army was ready to fight, they did not expect the Tang army to fight so quickly, when it was the middle of winter, the northeast land, snowy, Xue Rengui's two thousand elite horses were all dressed in white, it is estimated that white is Xue Rengui's lucky color, the scene at that time we can't see, but watching the Peking Opera "Wise Tiger Mountain", Yang Zirong They are wearing a white cloak That scene, and this should have a fight. When they found the enemy, Xue Rengui immediately made a decision, taking advantage of the cavalry's plains to charge and kill the enemy. So on the white snowy plain, the enemy troops who were marching saw a large white rushing forward and thought it was an avalanche. Xue Rengui commanded the killing of the enemy, which took seven hours, and now in less than 15 hours, he killed more than 10,000 captured enemies, and the remaining enemy troops scattered and fled.
Xue Rengui used odd troops, and after this battle, the liaodong war had been basically finalized. After that, more than forty consecutive cities of the enemy army surrendered directly to Xue Rengui, and Xue Rengui's reputation rose up, threatening the Liaohai Sea and moving in all directions.
A generation of famous generals Xue Rengui, no matter what kind of mistakes occurred in the later battles, but on the battlefield of Liaodong, Xue Rengui's name was absolutely no different from the God of War. And Xue Rengui's bravery and vigor naturally affected generations of northeast masters, and Zhang Zuolin's "Three Arrows Fixing the Heavenly Mountain" is precisely to admire the great achievements of this predecessor.
