Zhou Jimin's "Little Water Droplet Roaming": A drop of water must also return to the sea

This is a fairy tale work created from the regional culture of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, divided into five chapters of spring, summer, autumn, winter and spring, each chapter is based on the mother river of Wenzhou people - the "Qu Xi", "Guo Xi", "PanQiao", "Lou Bridge", "Xinqiao" and other market towns bred by these Tang Rivers as subsections, divided into three to four subsections, a total of 19 subsections, more than 180,000 words, the content is coherent, and independent.

Wenzhou has a history of more than 4,000 years of civilization and more than 2,000 years of city building. In 323 AD, the Eastern Jin Dynasty court established Yongjia County and began to build the city. In the second year of Emperor Gaozong of Tang (675), the beginning of Wenzhou's name is still in use today. This small piece of the place kissed by the sea is called "Ou" in ancient times, and the "Mountain and Sea Classic, Hai Nei Nan Jing" cloud "Ou ju in the sea". Water is its jacket, and after a long period of incubation, it forms a geographical pattern surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side. For thousands of years, Wenzhou people have flourished on the land left by this sea. "A bustling sea has never been called Little Hangzhou." The water is like a chess game divided into streets, and the mountains are like screens around the painting building. "Song Wenzhou Zhizhou Yang Pan's poem "Yong Yong Jia" is the best portrayal of the city of Wenzhou. In the poem, "Water is like a chess game divided into streets and strangers", which depicts the situation of Wenzhou's water system. This water system is the Tang River, which is called the Mother River by the Wenzhou people.

The illustrations in the book show the unique charm of Wenzhou. The protagonist "Little Water Drop" starts from the source of the Tang River and travels all the way to Ruian, entering the river and returning to the sea. The small water droplet traveling through the Tang River is actually an interpretation of Wenzhou's rich regional culture. With the vision of the small water droplets, it presents the splendid and unique regional culture of Wenzhou, a national historical and cultural city in the corner of the East China Sea. In this sense, this long fairy tale is also a Wenzhou cultural encyclopedia, a cultural model for studying Wenzhou.

The author has inserted wings for the "small water droplets", which can fly, jump, play slides, and not only know the language of humans and animals, but also talk to plants. This is a universal droplet of water, with the help of friends such as great white geese, small yellow orioles, squid birds, carp, willow trees, banyan trees, small egrets and many other friends, acquired knowledge and harvested friendship. Along the way, there were also many dangerous setbacks, such as being swept into a whirlpool, being swallowed into the belly of a small green snake, almost evaporating on the shore for a long time, and almost solidifying into ice in winter, but always turning the danger into ruin.

"This is an innovative attempt at children's literature texts. In writing, I broke through the tradition of telling a story in a fairy tale in its entirety, traveled in the image of a fairy tale, and accommodated a wealth of regional cultural knowledge, which is an encyclopedic fairy tale. Speaking of the creative process, Zhou Jimin said: "The small water droplets traveled through the Tang River and experienced the joys and sorrows, sorrows and joys. 'She' suffered a typhoon in the summer, and the death of the little egret made 'her' experience the horror of 'death' and the smallness of all living things in front of nature. In such a journey, Xiao Shui di developed the character of bravery, optimism, kindness, dedication and tolerance, and understood the meaning of life. It's a life-or-train process. In this sense, this work is also a history of life growth. ”
