According to Shams, the NBA will adopt CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines - players who test positive must leave the team for 5 days.
To return to team activity, players must quarantine for 6 days and meet test requirements or get two negative test results.
After completing the 5-day quarantine, positive players wearing masks can now return to the team through commercial flights, interact face-to-face with individuals in the community, and enter indoor environments or facilities in non-team venues.
