It is understood that automatic driving is the product of the deep integration of the automobile industry with a new generation of information technology such as artificial intelligence, The Internet of Things, and high-performance computing, and is the main direction of the current intelligent and networked development in the field of global automobiles and transportation. In February 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Central Cyberspace Administration, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other eleven ministries and commissions jointly issued the "Intelligent Vehicle Innovation Development Strategy", which included intelligent vehicles in the top-level development plan and formulated clear goals - by 2025, the technological innovation, industrial ecology, infrastructure, regulatory standards, product supervision and network security system of China's standard intelligent vehicles have basically taken shape.

In March of the same year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Automobile Driving Automation Classification" recommended national standard for approval and publicity, based on the role allocation of the driving automation system in the execution of dynamic driving tasks, and whether there are design and operating conditions, autonomous vehicles will be based on 5 elements as the main basis, divided into 0-5 a total of 6 different levels.

In addition to policy assistance, autonomous driving is also favored by capital. According to incomplete statistics, since the beginning of this year, the financing of the automatic driving industry has exceeded 70 billion yuan. However, the autonomous driving technology route with bicycle intelligence as the core is encountering a development bottleneck in the world. As early as 2018, some car manufacturers claimed that the products they sold were equipped with L2 assisted driving functions. But to this day, a production car that can truly realize L3 autonomous driving has not yet been born.

Industry insiders believe that this phenomenon also confirms from the side that the bicycle intelligence that relies solely on passive detection of sensors, signal feedback and actuators to complete instructions still has great limitations in the process of the development of high-end automatic driving. Industry analysis believes that if we want to further reduce the risk and probability of accidents on the road of automatic driving exploration, vehicle-road coordination will be an indispensable link.

Industry insiders believe that at present, the increasingly complex traffic problems call for digital governance across the business domain to conform to the industry trend from single governance to comprehensive governance, from traffic governance to urban governance, and from bicycle intelligence to vehicle-road collaboration. At the same time, an important change in the era of intelligent IoT is from function-driven to scenario-driven, which requires scene-based cloud-edge full-stack technology integration and innovation.

It is understood that in 2016, under the active cooperation and guidance of relevant units at all levels in Beijing, the Beijing Intelligent Vehicle Industry Innovation Center, led by Qianfang Technology, united with well-known enterprises in the industry, scientific research institutes and other institutions, compiled and completed a series of automatic driving test evaluation standards such as automatic driving ability assessment, road selection, test site construction, data transmission, etc., which provided key support for Beijing to take the lead in exploring the management policy and service system of automatic driving testing in the country, as well as multi-scenario testing.

From the demonstration area to the commercialization start, Beijing has always led the country. In the eyes of industry insiders, the demand for autonomous driving of commercial vehicles is more urgent. Compared with passenger cars, commercial vehicles have more obvious pain points, including driver shortages, serious aging, rising labor costs, high fuel consumption costs and frequent traffic accidents, etc., while high-level automatic driving technology helps logistics and transportation to reduce costs and increase efficiency, and improve road traffic safety.

Pan Fan believes that vehicle-road synergy is a profound change in traditional decentralized transportation technology, involving complex technological transformation and industrial chain, and is a continuous iterative upgrading process. In this context, in addition to continuing to promote the evolution and iteration of communication technology, it is still necessary to promote cross-industry and cross-departmental coordination.

At the 2021 ITS Intelligent Transportation Conference held on December 6, Qianfang Technology released the "Omni-T2.0 Global Transportation Solution", which proposes an "intelligent network digital operation solution" for the deep integration of traffic digitalization and automatic driving.
