The legend of "Mud Horse Du Kang King" in Ningjin

According to the "Ningjin County Chronicle" of Qing Guangxu in the 26th year, there is a Kangwang Temple in The town of Daliu in Ningjin. According to legend, in the third year of the Northern Song Dynasty, after the Jin soldiers suddenly tore up the agreement and attacked the Tokyo Liang, they abducted Hui and the Second Emperor of Qin and retreated north. Emperor Shi Jin sent a decree to imprison the Second Emperor in the Five Kingdoms City of the Northern Kingdom (present-day Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province) and not to be released. Immediately, he sent the fourth prince to mediate away from the invasion of the south. Hui Hui could not afford to leave Hu Bing's 100,000 soldiers, and marched south in a mighty and mighty way. After the whistle, the people, like frightened birds, left their homes one after another and fled in all directions.

The Jin army marched to Zhending County, Hebei (present-day Zhengding County, Hebei Province), and huihui did not hear that since the second emperor of the Song Dynasty was captured, the courtiers had elected King Kang Zhao to preside over the imperial government, so they had a plan in mind and sent someone to write to King Kang, asking him to come to the army to discuss peace, and then he could retire. Otherwise, the army will reach the beam again and kill every inch of grass.

King Kang was horrified when he received the book, and he consulted with his courtiers on the plan to withdraw his troops. There was a traitor named Wang Yun, who was actually a traitor in Jin, and tried his best to persuade King Kang to negotiate peace before he died. King Nakang was cowardly by nature, and without determination, he listened to Wang Yun's words, and despite the persuasion of other loyal generals, he ordered Wang Yun to be his deputy envoy and went with him to negotiate peace. When he was about to get into the car, Kang Wang thought something was wrong and hesitated to go. Wang Yun, on the other hand, took advantage of the power of the Jin people, and on the grounds that he was strong and weak, he coerced King Kang to get on the car, and there was no courtesy of the monarch, and the ministers who sent them off hated one by one and itched their teeth but there was nothing they could do.

The group was about to meet Zong Zheng Shaoqing Zong Ze at the real time. Zong Zeben is a famous anti-Jin general and Yue Fei's teacher. Zong Ze heard that King Kang was going to Jinying to discuss peace, and knowing that this was a feast at the Hongmen Gate, he stopped King Kang from knowing what was at stake. At this time, Wang Yun also wanted to coerce King Kang again, but was slashed by the angry Zong Ze under his horse. Hui Hui did not receive a secret report from Wang Yun, knowing that King Kang had been deceived, and was dreaming triumphantly, and soon heard the sentinel Ma Lai report that Wang Yun had been beheaded by Zong Ze, and King Kang ran away. Hui Hui was not remorseful, and quickly led a large army to pursue and kill, not wanting to be stopped by Zong Ze, the two armies met, only to kill the sky in the dark, the sun and the moon were dark. King Kang took advantage of the chaos and rode a number of horses all the way to the southeast.

The legend of "Mud Horse Du Kang King" in Ningjin

I don't know how long it took, but the entourage of guards either died in battle or scattered one after another, and in the end, only King Kang himself, who rode alone, was left.

One evening, king Kang, who was sleepy and tired, came to a temple that said that Cui Fujun had broken down, and the war horse that had not eaten for several days fell down and could no longer get up, and King Kang was also hungry and thirsty and went to the broken temple and fell into a deep sleep. In the middle of the night, a white-bearded god man in the dream told him that the Golden Soldier was coming, and Zhao Zhaodeng woke up in shock, so he got up outside the door and saw a white horse in the courtyard. Only to see that The Horse Yang had a mane and hooves, his nose was ringing, and he signaled King Kang to hurry up to his back. King Kang did not dare to be idle, so he turned on his horse and ran away. This horse carried Zhao Zhao on all four hooves, as fast as a meteor, and soon rushed to the banks of the Manjin River. The Jin general Jin Wushu pursued King Kang to the edge of the Manjin River, and suddenly disappeared from the shadow of King Kang. It turned out that King Kang's horse jumped into the river, concealed King Kang's figure, and continued to run on the surface of the water. Why did Vulture see him? Because of the divine protection, the eyes of the vultures were obscured, so they could not be seen.

King Kang rode on his horse, like a fog in the clouds, where he dared to open his eyes, and his ears could only hear the sound of the wind whistling. After a while, the horse had crossed the river and jumped ashore. After another journey, we came to the town of Daliu in the ningjin land. The horse was already sweating profusely, so he shrugged King Kang down to the ground, saw a bay of clear water next to the village, and ran to drink, which cheng thought, and looked at the horse again, and instantly turned into a pile of yellow mud. King Kang knew that this was heaven to save him, so he said to the pile of yellow mud, "Horses! You have the heart, just take me a few more steps, how can you leave me here and go? King Kang thought as he looked up, only to see the light of the Ten Thousand Rays jumping out of the horizon, the sky was faint, and a red sun was rising from the east. King Kang let out a long sigh and slowly stepped into a willow forest to hide. It did not take long for the rescuers to arrive, and King Kang, escorted by his guards, returned to Lin'an, Kyoto, ending this thrilling journey.

This is the story of the "Mud Horse Crossing Kang King", and the local people built the Kang Wang Temple here to commemorate this event.
