HUAWEI CLOUD Zhang Peng: Join hands with "pedestrians" to inject new momentum into the development of mobility

Peng Zhang, Vice President of HUAWEI CLOUD China and CMO of HUAWEI CLOUD China

On December 29, the "Smart Mobility Forum" of the "HUAWEI CLOUD & HUAWEI CLOUD Service Innovation Summit 2022" was successfully held, and HUAWEI CLOUD joined hands with industry customers and partners to discuss how to promote the development of the smart industry. Zhang Peng, Vice President of HUAWEI CLOUD China and CMO of China, attended and delivered a speech, saying that mobility is an incomparably broad new stage, and it is necessary to face new business models, travel security, and industrial ecological restructuring, and HUAWEI CLOUD helps the mobility industry create new value and accelerate development through the strategy of "cloud-cloud collaboration".

Innovative technology enables and injects new momentum into smart mobility

In the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", accelerating the pace of digital society construction, promoting the innovation and application of digital technology, and preparing for smart transportation, mobile travel is one of the successful practices of IT technology reform and consumption upgrading in China's transportation industry. However, in the development of online ride-hailing, it also faces challenges related to safety management such as driver-passenger behavior, in-vehicle environment, vehicle path monitoring, etc. Especially in terms of how to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers, in recent years, it has aroused great concern in the industry, whether it is a national regulatory agency or a travel platform company, it has introduced a lot of regulatory policies and safety protection measures. It is clearly required to regularly collect the positioning and trajectory of the driving vehicle, the collection of audio and video in the car, and the early warning of illegal acts such as speeding and fatigue driving of the driver.

Zhang Peng said that we see that with the development of cloud computing, Internet of Things, 5G, artificial intelligence and other technologies, more emerging industry applications have been given to the transportation business and become a strong support for the mobility industry. HUAWEI CLOUD is also sparing no effort to provide multi-scenario solutions for the mobility industry, especially real-time data analysis algorithms based on the Internet of Vehicles, full-stack AI capabilities based on cloud, edge, and end collaboration, etc., to give full play to technical capabilities to make ride-hailing safer and more comfortable.

Based on the rich technical solutions in the field of travel safety, HUAWEI CLOUD has carried out comprehensive cooperation with T3 Mobility this year. Through the fatigue distraction algorithm provided, it effectively helped T3 travel reduce the driver's dangerous driving incident rate by 38.6%. The driver-passenger voice quality inspection program helps the platform to reduce accidents in advance, and the accuracy rate exceeds 90%. In addition, T3 Travel's real-time financial statement accounting system has increased the efficiency by 30% through the lake warehouse integration solution provided by HUAWEI CLOUD. The T3 Travel dispatching system uses HUAWEI CLOUD native auto scaling technology to improve vehicle scheduling efficiency by 30%.

Working with more "people who understand people" to help industry innovation, HUAWEI CLOUD has accelerated its running

Mobility is one of the four major industries focused by HUAWEI CLOUD, and it is also a key strategic investment industry of HUAWEI CLOUD, Zhang Peng introduced that in the future, HUAWEI CLOUD will build a comprehensive mobility solution around maps, vehicle management, payment, data operation, and user reach. At the same time, HUAWEI CLOUD has also introduced a large number of mobility industry talents to reserve strength for the long-term development of the industry.

He said that in the future, we will continue to deepen our value investment in the travel industry, be the black land of the intelligent world, and work together with partners and corporate customers to work together to deepen cooperation through cooperation and joint innovation with ecological partners and corporate customers, inject new momentum and add new vitality to the development of mobility, and work together to create a "safe, convenient and quality" travel era.

This year, HUAWEI CLOUD also formally proposed the "Cloud-Cloud Collaboration" strategy, continuously exploring innovative services for HUAWEI CLOUD, HUAWEI Terminal Cloud, and HUAWEI Process IT Cloud Collaboration, and leveraging Huawei's unique cloud, network, edge, and end-of-the-cloud industry layout and synergy advantages to help more customers achieve leapfrog development. Zhang Peng stressed that the Hongmeng system released by Huawei has given the world more choices, and we are also thinking about whether Hongmeng can bring more possibilities to car companies, online ride-hailing companies and even the entire travel industry.

Nowadays, the "cloud-cloud collaboration" strategy has begun to gradually build an innovation ecosystem and become a new force for the innovative development of thousands of industries. In 2020, the HUAWEI Terminal Cloud Service HMS ecosystem, which was built on HUAWEI CLOUD, has grown into the world's third largest mobile application ecosystem, serving nearly 800 million users in more than 170 countries and regions, with more than 2.7 million developers. Through the in-depth synergy between HUAWEI CLOUD and HUAWEI ENDPOINT CLOUD services in terms of capabilities and ecosystems, huawei-to-B and HUAWEI CLOUD services provide customers and partners with unified services and experiences, and realize the full-ecosystem integration of to B and C, which can comprehensively help enterprises improve productivity efficiency and business innovation.

Up to now, HUAWEI CLOUD has served 80% of the top 30 car companies in digital transformation, and is committed to helping car companies build, sell, and use good cars. With the support of customers and partners, HUAWEI CLOUD has also achieved accelerated running. In Gartner's latest "Market Share: IT Services, Worldwide 2020" research report, HUAWEI CLOUD's global IaaS market ranking has risen to the top two in China and the top five in the world, the fastest growth among mainstream vendors, and has become one of the five clouds in the world.
