In addition, thanks to the fine gears, Glashütte's original precision moon phases can calculate the moon's trajectory more accurately, theoretically only by one day every 122 years.
At 4 o'clock, the watch displays the brand's signature outsize date. The small display disc used for the outsize date was also created in-house by Glashütte Originals. The two discs are installed in the same axial and plane mode. Ivory background with black numerals. Whether it's the outsize date display itself, or between the outsize date and the dial, the contrast is clear from all dimensions.

A special feature of Made in Germany is the aim to work with the most complex objects in the simplest possible form. This is reflected in the fact that both the outsize date and the moon phase can be adjusted by means of the crown.
The watch is wound when the crown is pulled out to position 1, and the crown is pulled to position 2 to adjust the moon phase and the outsize date. The crown is in position 3, which sets the time.
The hands of the watch continue the classic pear shape used in the 40 mm model, and the end of the seconds hand is decorated with the brand's Double G motif.

The Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase is no exception, with a Calibre 36-24 calibre automatic movement at its heart and a silicon balance spring with a power reserve of 100 hours.
The self-winding calibre 36 is the first Glashütte Original movement to be equipped with an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring. The larger size of the barrel of the 36 movement, the increased length of the mainspring, and the use of a bidirectional winding rotor, thus avoiding the waste of energy and helping to maximize the power.

Before leaving the factory, the calibre 36 is monitored for accuracy in six positions for a total of 12 days, with the watch being inspected at each position for two days. The familiar Swiss Chronometer Certification (COSC) is a five-way test, and Glashütte Original's factory testing standards for the movement exceed the quality standards set by the COSC.

In terms of decoration, the beauty of the 36 calibre will not get tired of seeing it no matter how many times. The Double G logo on the rotor features a skeleton design and a 21-carat mark on the yellow gold pendulum. The balance underneath the gooseneck fine-tuning, hand-engraved directly by the engraver (note that there is no template template primer), each one truly unique.
You can also see the three-quarter plate with Glashütte stripbing, the pearl pattern, the chamfered edges and the blued screws, all of which are the hallmarks of the Dewatch movement.
The Caliber 36 is the workhorse of Glashütte Original's high-end movements. Among the high-end movements in its class, the 36 calibre is also in a leading position in terms of stability, precision, cost performance and aesthetics.

In keeping with the tradition of the Senator Excellence Collection, the new Senator Panorama Date Moon Phase is also subjected to a 24-day quality check at the Glashütte Original Manufacture. This series of inspections includes, but is not limited to, position testing, temperature testing, run time, water resistance, and final visual inspection. Each watch that passes the test is engraved with the "Q" mark on the case back.
