Talking about the next step, Pan Mingsheng said that in the future, he intends to re-carve out the ancient buildings of Shangqiu Ancient City and Liangyuan "Seven Platforms and Eight Views" through brick carvings to reproduce the glory of Guidefu and its historical appearance of Shangqiu Ancient City.

On the workbench was a semi-finished product of an ancient building, and Pan Mingsheng took a carving knife and carved the brick cracks of the ancient wall hard, and the old brick splashed with green ash stained his hands and clothes.
"What I am carving now is the Chen Family Compound in the ancient city of Shangqiu, and now it has been carved into the wall of the old courtyard." Pan Mingsheng told reporters that in this form of brick carving, every stroke requires just the right amount of strength, and often a mistake and a brick are wasted.
Carving miniature brick carving ancient building from the brick selection to the final carving completed requires at least a dozen processes. "The green bricks used come from the old houses, most of which are hundreds of years old." Speaking of his own road of brick carving, Pan Mingsheng told reporters that he has had a strong interest in these ancient buildings since he was a child. "When I was young, I often came to Shangqiu Ancient City to play, and I had a special love for these ancient buildings, because my home was also From Shangqiu, I would often come to see it alone."
By chance, Pan Mingsheng came into contact with brick carving, and at that time he suddenly thought, why not carve the ancient city of Shangqiu. To this end, he found a lot of information from the Internet and began to carve against the masonry. "I feel okay when I get started, but I slowly encounter a bottleneck, and I need the guidance of the teacher if I want to make further progress." Pan Mingsheng said that later, by visiting Huang Fu, a famous brick carver in Shangqiu, he slowly made a breakthrough in his technique.
With the guidance of the teacher and his own talent, Pan Mingsheng's carving skills have become more and more skilled, and in the spirit of inheriting traditional culture and innovation, his works have gradually acquired their own style characteristics.

Since then, as Pan Mingsheng's works have been known to everyone, once someone asked Pan Mingsheng to carve Henan Xinye Hansang City, the first time it was recognized, Pan Mingsheng was very excited, but his heart was bottomless: what is the unique architectural style of Hansang City?
He went online to find information pictures, and also visited The New Hansang City Park, carefully observed the architectural structure of Hansang City and took pictures and photos, doing enough preparatory homework; at the same time, he made several self-made tools to replace complicated processes, which greatly improved the efficiency of carving. Solving the two problems of engraving and tools, the creation is gradually getting better. A month later, the brick sculpture "Hansang City" was completed. The work uses techniques such as circular carving, see-through carving, deep and shallow relief and line carving, and Nishino accepted the donor and said: "It is rare to be able to carve such a realistic Hansang City, and the master is indeed in the folk." ”
After becoming famous in one fell swoop, Pan Mingsheng's brick carvings one after another went into the museum, Shaolin Temple, and folk museum to display indoors. But in reality, brick carving has not been known, an important reason is that brick carving is unpopular in folk crafts, the market has been snubbed, but Pan Mingsheng still insists on carving.
Pan Mingsheng, as the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of brick carving, hopes that more people will learn to inherit. To this end, he went to Shangqiu Institute of Technology to give a lecture on brick carving, and also considered receiving apprentices to spread brick carving skills. But the difficulty of the creative environment made it impossible for him to spend too much time on it.
In order to be three-dimensional, the miniature brick carving is refined, and his hand carving output is not high. Even so, Pan Mingsheng still tried to find a balance between the market and art. He admits that the current number of works is limited due to the long time of craftsmanship, and he cannot produce them.
