On December 28, DC's new superhero film "The New Batman" released a new trailer "The Bat and The Cat", and Batman and Catwoman joined forces to attack.
The New Batman will be directed by Rise of the Apes and The Clover Files director Matt Reeves, with Robert Pattinson playing "Batman" Bruce Wayne, "Catwoman" Selena Kyle playing Zoe Krowitz, Paul Dano playing "Riddler", Colin Farrell playing "Penguin Man", Andy Serkis playing Wayne's housekeeper Afoy, and Jeffrey White playing Sheriff Gordon. The film will be released in North America on March 4, 2022.
In a recent interview with Empire magazine, filmmaker Dylan Clark said, "We have nothing to do with the DC Universe. Matt (the director of the New Batman film) is interested in bringing this new Batman character to the depths of emotion and creating a shocking inner world. In front of Christopher Nolan, he said he wanted to surpass his Batman trilogy.
It is understood that Nolan's version of the "Batman" trilogy has achieved good results in word-of-mouth and box office. Different from the theatrical "popcorn movie", Nolan's version of "Batman" shows Bruce Wayne's growth from a rich orphan to a Dark Knight who fights criminals, and the film as a whole presents a dark style.
Dylan Clark says that for decades, audiences have been exposed to a variety of images and stories about Batman, "It's a challenge. "The New Batman not only has to make a great movie, but also defines the "new Batman" for the audience that has never been seen before. The New Batman takes place in Bruce Wayne's second year as Batman, and people around him are still terrified of him. The film will expose corruption within Gotham City through a series of murders.
