With Facebook changing its name to Meta, Metaverse has also become the focus of attention in Taiwan. Experts point out that the next 10 years will feel the combination of real and virtual worlds, augmented reality (AR) may replace mobile phones, virtual reality (VR) may replace computers (PCs). Hardware equipment to achieve such a popularity as mobile phones, weight, volume and resolution sensors are the direction of the development of related products, but also will promote semiconductor innovation to follow the progress.
According to Taiwan's Jibang Technology analysis, driven by the meta-universe issue, more brand manufacturers will step into the VR and AR market development, and drive the rapid growth of global related device shipments, which is expected to reach 12.02 million units next year, an annual increase of 26.4%.

The meta-universe theme is also "fever" in the Taiwan stock market, the concept stock price continues to rise, and the market is enthusiastic about supply chain business opportunities such as VR and AR hardware equipment and wafer factories. The analysis believes that artificial intelligence, wafer foundry, social platforms, games, finance and other elements will play a key role in the blue ocean of the metaverse.
The reporter observed a sign that foreign securities companies have cut into the meta-universe theme investment opportunities in advance. Zhan Jiahong, a semiconductor industry analyst at Morgan Stanley Securities, believes that electronic supply chain manufacturers are an indispensable and important role in entering the metacosm.
