Ai Xin Jue luo Dolgun, the emperor of the Manchu Qing Dynasty who was not an emperor, the fourteenth son of Nurhaci, the half-brother of Emperor Taiji, after the death of Emperor Taiji, the actual ruler of the early Shunzhi Dynasty, made an immortal contribution to the establishment of the Manchu Qing Dynasty and the entry into the Central Plains, and was posthumously honored as the "Righteous Emperor" by the kings of later generations.
The life of Dorgon is legendary. At the age of fifteen, he was honored with military merits, and in his twenties he was crowned prince, and achieved countless victories in his life, first defeating the Ming Dynasty defenders Hong Chengzu and Zu Dashou; then swinging his army into Beijing City, defeating Li Zicheng, and establishing the capital of the Qing Dynasty, Beijing; followed by the unification of the Central Plains, the suppression of Zhang Xianzhong, and the destruction of the Southern Ming Dynasty. It can be said that the personal founder of the establishment of the Manchu Qing Dynasty was Dolgun, so he is an emperor who is not called an emperor.
Even later, some people speculated that the reason why Dorgon was not called emperor was that he had one leg with Empress Xiaozhuang, that is, his sister-in-law, The Emperor Taiji's wife, had a leg. There is even a possibility that Fu Lin may be the illegitimate son of Dorgon and Empress Xiaozhuang. As to whether this is the case, it is not known what the facts are.
However, Empress Xiaozhuang was forced by her power, and in order to retain the throne of the Shunzhi Emperor Fulin, it was possible to defect to Dolgun, and even to ask for full service to Dolgun. After all, if Dorgon wanted to abolish Shunzhi Fulin and establish himself as emperor was something that could be done at any time, I believe that no one could stop the situation at that time.
But why didn't Dorgon establish himself as emperor, but instead devoted himself to assisting the young Shunzhi and taking good care of the orphans and widows. Is it because of a broad heart? Or is it for some other reason?
