In order to be closer to the real motivation of the extremely cold car environment, the experiment began with a professional experimental cabin of Xiaopeng P5 for up to 8 hours of extreme cold "soaking", until the temperature inside and outside the car dropped to -23 ° C, and then after the frost of professional and technical personnel, the entire body and windshield of Xiaopeng P5 have been covered with frost flowers.

After that, the staff of China Automobile Research Institute officially began the test, first of all, the remote low temperature start test, when the staff pressed the remote start button on the mobile phone, Xiaopeng P5 started successfully in an instant, far faster than the national standard required within 7 seconds to start.
The second is to detect the defrosting speed of the vehicle, after the vehicle starts, Xiaopeng P5 immediately enters the defrosting working state, and after 20 minutes, the front window defrosting reaches 99.8% (80% of the 20-minute defrosting required by the national standard); within 40 minutes, the defrosting has reached 100% (90% of the 40-minute defrosting above the national standard requirement). In the end, Xiaopeng P5 successfully passed these two tests with a number of indicators higher than the requirements of the national standard.
Xiaopeng P5 is the first model equipped with heat pump air conditioning in the same class, which makes Xiaopeng P5 effectively solve the problem of low temperature energy consumption under the premise of ensuring the thermal comfort of the disabled occupant compartment, and the winter endurance is about 15% higher than that of traditional PTC heating.
In addition, the intelligent safety thermal control of Xiaopeng P5 can achieve an ultra-wide temperature range of -30 °C -55 °C, and according to the needs of the power system, the power system can always be in the best working temperature range, ensure the thermal safety of the power system, shorten the charging time, and increase the mileage.
The low temperature defrosting and heating in the traditional fuel vehicle are the waste heat generated by the engine, so the heating speed is slower, while the heating speed of the electric vehicle is significantly faster, which can quickly improve the defrosting and heating speed in the car.
In addition, Xiaopeng P5 is equipped with anti-fog sensors and independent defrost dampers as standard, and when the humidity in the car is detected to be too large, the front windshield can be defogged by opening the independent defrost damper, effectively preventing the problem of fogging and frost.
