On December 17-22, 2021, the Hangzhou Traditional Craft Innovation Exhibition and cross-strait youth design exchange exhibition was successfully launched in Taipei Eslite Bookstore. The event was guided by the Cross-Strait Entrepreneur Summit Modern Service Industry and Cultural and Creative Industry Cooperation Promotion Group, and supported by the Cross-Strait Entrepreneur Summit Cultural and Creative Industry Cooperation Alliance.

As the only cultural and creative group to enter the island exchange activities and an important project for the exchange of cultural and creative industries between Hangzhou and Taiwan, under the current background of epidemic prevention and control, we have overcome various difficulties to ensure that the cultural and creative design exchanges between young people in Hangzhou and Taiwan are continuous. Zheng Jiazhong, deputy convener of the Taiwan side of the cultural and creative industry group of the summit, came to the scene in person, fully affirmed the exhibition, and looked forward to the young people of Hangzhou and Taiwan can use this platform to enhance cooperation and collide with more creative sparks.
With the theme of "New Concept, New Cross-border", this exhibition takes the five traditional materials of wood, silk, porcelain, copper and lacquer as the creative source point, highlighting innovative processes and new concepts of creative design, bringing new aesthetic life experiences to contemporary young people. The new Hangzhou Line invited Hangzhou cultural and creative brands such as Craftsman Wood Home, Sanyan Xiangtang, Kissing Fish, Unity Lacquerware, Instruments and Not Give Up (Moshan Ji), Aurora Silk, Paper Umbrella Home, Wanfeng Culture, etc., and presented more than 20 creative concept series products together with Taiwanese cultural and creative brands such as Handmade Enterprise, Wen Handmade, Guangshan Xing, and 1 Duodian.
During the exhibition, cultural and creative exhibits from Hangzhou were widely praised. Among them, aurora from Hangzhou "Hangzhou Style" silk scarf, in the way of Monopoly game board, starting from the "Hangzhou" logo, integrates 36 iconic landscapes of Hangzhou, has 6 modes of transportation, and runs through Hangzhou's landmark buildings, which can be truly played in accordance with the order of the map. The center of the silk scarf, which is also the end of the silk scarf, is the newly completed Olympic Sports Center in Hangzhou, which will serve as the main venue for the 2022 Asian Games. The four corners of the silk scarf are equipped with Hangzhou osmanthus flowers, city tree camphor, West Lake Longjing and other West Lake landscape patterns, which are favored by the audience, and marvel at the understanding of Hangzhou through a silk scarf. As the representative of the "lacquer" material, the unity lacquerware has also been warmly welcomed by the audience, and the unity lacquerware is the only lacquer creation brand of the new Hangzhou line, and it is also the first time it is exhibited in Taiwan, and a group of Chaozhou tea utensils exhibited this time will creatively integrate the plant raw lacquer with gourd, glass and ceramic materials, and spread the beauty of lacquerware that has lasted for 8,000 years to the Taiwanese audience.
As the secretariat of the Cross-Strait Entrepreneur Summit Cultural and Creative Industry Cooperation Alliance, the Hangzhou Creative Design Center has been committed to promoting the exchange and cooperation of young designers on both sides of the strait, and in November this year, the Taiwan Youth Designer Work Station was jointly established in Hangzhou and the Taipei Industrial Design Development Association, and this exhibition was jointly held with it, aiming to show the mainland's high-quality cultural and creative cooperative enterprises to the Taiwan cultural and creative industry, docking outstanding cultural and creative Taiwanese young people who are interested in going to the mainland to settle in the station, and jointly promoting the in-depth exchange and cooperation of young designers on both sides of the strait. The station will provide free office space for Taiwan's cultural and creative institutions and young designers, serve outstanding Taiwanese youth through three modules of entrepreneurship incubation, resource docking and business cooperation, explore a feasible way to make the advantages of the mainland market, capital and business environment and the advantages of Taiwan's high-quality talents, creative concepts and marketing means complement each other, and promote the in-depth integration and development of the cultural and creative industries on both sides of the strait.
