In 1996, Narita, who was in his early 30s, followed the crew from Taiwan to the mainland to shoot a play, and was introduced to Guo Xifen, who was over 60 years old at the time, because his ancestral home was in Henan Province, and the two formed a "year-forgetful" friendship. In November 2005, when Narita traveled to Beijing, the two met again, when Guo Xifen had retired from school, and under her hospitality, Narita stayed in Guo Xifen's home for two unforgettable weeks.

"When my father came to Taiwan from his hometown in Henan with the army, Teacher Guo was also from Henan, and she had the intimacy and enthusiasm of her fellow villagers." Narita recalled to nandu reporters that at that time, Teacher Guo lived alone in an exquisite small apartment, with a living room and a master bedroom, "She was like treating guests from afar, giving me the bedroom and sleeping in the living room by herself, which made me really feel cared for."

"Because we are like-minded and have a common hobby in literature, there are endless topics to talk about." Narita said that thanks to the encouragement of Teacher Guo, it was during this time that she felt the temperature of knowledge, and also prompted her to devote herself to film and television production after graduating from high school, and she still re-entered the university classroom to continue her studies after more than half a hundred years.

The years have changed, and the friendship has survived. After Narita left Beijing, he still maintained correspondence with Guo Xifen.

At present, the growing Narita continues to study with the encouragement of Guo, and after obtaining a university diploma, he continues to study for a master's degree in Chinese literature. She said that after the epidemic, she will find an opportunity to come back to the mainland and talk about literature with Teacher Guo, who is ninety years old.
