Geely Holding Group signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with GCL Group

Jiwei Network News, on December 24, GCL Group WeChat public account released the news, December 23, Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. and GCL Group Co., Ltd. signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in Suzhou.

At present, "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" have become a global consensus, and China has clearly put forward the "3060" timetable, road map and mission statement. Statistics show that the current carbon emissions in the transportation industry account for up to 10%, which is the third largest source of carbon emissions in China, of which commercial vehicles account for more than 50%. In the face of the great challenge of the "double carbon" strategic goal, it is imperative to explore industrial integration between enterprises, build a green energy ecology, and accelerate the process of zero carbonization of the land-based operation industry.

In this cooperation, the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages and carry out comprehensive cooperation in the fields of mobile energy market expansion, power exchange heavy trucks, methanol vehicles, carbon capture, and liquid sunlight.

GCL Group officially entered the new mobile energy ecosystem this year, relying on the unique advantages of scale, low-cost green power supply, power grid access, nationwide power sales license, energy storage cascade utilization, etc., to fully advance into the two major golden tracks, and work with strategic partners to solve the difficult pain points of the industry.

The two sides agreed that the strategic goals of "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality" will bring a golden opportunity for industrial transformation and structural adjustment, and the two sides will, as always, uphold the concept of green development, share resources, expand the blue ocean, and carry out innovation and cooperation in a wider range, more fields and at a higher level. The two sides will focus on mobile energy and accelerate the large-scale promotion of electric passenger cars and electric commercial vehicles in the power exchange scenario.
