The sixth series of the Foshan History and Culture Series and the second series of the Series in Chinese and English were published

On the morning of December 24, the launch ceremony of foshan history and culture series (6th series) and the Chinese and English editions of "series" (2nd series) were held in Foshan. Participants said that since the publication of the first series in 2016, six consecutive series with a total of 60 titles have been published. "Foshan History and Culture Series" has become an important business card of Foshan City and Guangfu culture, playing an important and far-reaching role in the journey of giving full play to the lingnan Cantonese culture to nourish the temperament of citizens, shape the city style, comprehensively enhance the reputation and influence of Foshan's cultural city, and inherit the cultural context of Lingnan Canton.

The series (the sixth series) has a total of 10 kinds of bibliographies, "Southern Guangdong Spark - The Creation and Revolutionary Activities of the Early Party Organization of Foshan", which provides a panoramic account of the history of the first founding of the party in Foshan during the period of the new democratic revolution, and comprehensively shows the magnificent historical features of the people of Foshan during the founding period of the Communist Party of China and the period of the Great Revolution; "Foshan Pre-Qin Archaeology and Lingnan Civilization" sorts out the history of archaeological excavations in Foshan since the founding of New China; "History of Foshan Mulberry Garden" The historical relationship between local social and economic development and water conservancy construction in the Pearl River Delta during the construction of Sangyuanwei is systematically studied; the "Draft History of the Guangsan Railway" for the first time conducts a comprehensive and systematic academic study on the historical significance of the Guangsan Railway; the "Study of the Nanhai County Chronicle of the Ming and Qing Dynasties" conducts an in-depth study of the South China Sea society in the process of compiling and revising the History of Nanhai County in the Ming and Qing Dynasties; the "Research on the "Shop" of Foshan in the Ming and Qing Dynasties conducts a comprehensive and systematic study of the historical development of foshan's old town; and "The Historical Footprints of Shunde Self-combing Women" describes in detail the traditional customs of Shunde's self-combing women "The History of Overseas Chinese in Foshan" makes a detailed discussion of the overseas Chinese and Chinese culture in Foshan; the "Sanshui Red Turban Research" provides a panoramic review of the history of the Sanshui Red Turban; and the "Foshan Stone Huo's Research" examines in detail the historical context and family construction of the Stone Huo clan in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Among them, the two bibliographies of the second series of the Chinese and English editions, "Chinese Foshan Cantonese Opera Culture" and "Chinese Foshan Pottery Culture", show the characteristics of "Chinese Stories" and Foshan local culture to the international community according to the reading habits of foreign readers.

Foshan is the first of the "four famous towns" in ancient China, the traditional culture is broad and profound, it is a national historical and cultural city, and the famous Shanxi Qiao Mountain is called "the beacon of pearl river civilization" by archaeologists. Since the Tang and Song dynasties, the Pearl River Delta centered on the South China Sea has risen rapidly and become the political, economic and cultural center of Lingnan, and various types of literature have emerged and accumulated in large quantities in the Foshan area. According to statistics, from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Foshan has 258 authors, accounting for 37% of the total number of 692 historical authors in Guangdong; there are 592 kinds of works in the four subsets of the history of the classics and histories that have been recorded in the past, and Foshan accounts for 29%.

According to the plan, the Foshan History and Culture Series will complete the compilation and publication of 120 kinds (volumes) by 2027. At the press conference, the person in charge of the editorial department of the Editorial Committee of the Foshan History and Culture Series introduced that at present, the compilation system of the Foshan History and Culture Series is becoming more and more perfect, and the publishing topics are becoming more and more abundant, and on the basis of inheriting the excellent traditions of the history and culture of Foshan Guangfu, the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of Chinese historical research in the new era have been constructed; Foshan's own discipline system, academic system and discourse system have been used to tell the "Chinese story".
