Musk's explanation, do you buy it?

As we all know, Musk is a staunch "pure vision" party in the realization of self-driving cars, and his ultimate plan is to completely get rid of the radar of Tesla Motors in the future.
Just in May of this year, he realized his plan, Tesla will no longer deliver models with integrated radar technology hardware.
Of course, whether it is "pure vision" speech or the abandonment of radar delivery, Musk and Tesla have been criticized by some people and have also aroused people's concerns.
In response, Musk at that time responded:
When radar and vision don't match, which one do you believe? Vision has higher accuracy, so doubling down on vision is better than sensor fusion.
Just yesterday, Musk also explained once again why he abandoned radar on the domestic Weibo platform.
He said:
Pure vision, especially when using explicit photon computation, is much better than a combination of radar and vision, because the latter has too much uncertainty—when radar and visual perception are inconsistent, it's not clear which one to believe.
However, it is worth noting that although Musk is firmly following his own "pure vision" path, it seems that within Tesla, he is not 100% supportive, and some engineers do not agree with his views. They argue that a sound autonomous driving system should include millimeter-wave radar, lidar, and other perception technologies, rather than relying on one of them alone. This is also the technical route chosen by other mainstream autonomous driving technology manufacturers.
As for Musk's reaction to this explanation among netizens, some people also recognize it, and some people do not recognize it.
Among them, there are even people who dismantle the station online:
The more important reason is the low cost of vision.
