Ma Wenbin is the fourth generation of Lanzhou beef noodles, and he is familiar with the history of beef noodles. He said that Ma Baozi, an old man of Lanzhou Hui nationality, opened the first Lanzhou qingtang beef noodle restaurant in 1915, creating the characteristics of "one clear, two white, three red, four green, five yellow", and since then, clear soup beef noodles have been born in Lanzhou, and the business has gradually prospered and become famous. Ma Baozi operated until 1925, when his son Ma Jiesan inherited his father's business and took over the business. Ma Jiesan moved the clear soup beef noodle restaurant to the downtown area, and opened the "Ma Baozi Clear Soup Beef Noodle Restaurant" at the junction of the former Lanzhou Mutual Aid Lane and Zhongzheng Road (now the central square of Jiuquan Road). After the public-private partnership in 1956, "Ma Baozi Kiyogo Beef Noodle Restaurant" was changed to "Square Kiyoyu Beef Noodle Restaurant", which was renamed "LanQingGe" after the 1970s.

On the basis of his father's inheritance, help and belt, Mr. Ma Jiesan constantly summarized and improved his skills, and passed on his skills to Su Yunlong, Li Xueyi, Zhou Fuyuan and other employees of "Lanqing Pavilion", becoming the third and fourth generations of Lanzhou beef noodles.

At the snap of a finger, Ma Wenbin has been in the industry for more than 40 years. He still clearly remembers that when he first arrived at the "Square Clear Soup Beef Noodle Restaurant", the large bowl of beef noodles only needed 3 two grain coupons, 1 dime and 8 cents, and the small bowl of beef noodles had 2 two grain coupons and 1 dime and 5 cents.

At first, his job was just to sweep the floor and pick up the dishes, in order to learn ramen with the masters as soon as possible, Ma Wenbin did dirty and tired work.

After experiencing countless "three times of water, three times of ash, nine times of eighty-one times of kneading", Master Li Xueyi asked Ma Wenbin to order a bowl of noodles and let the masters identify whether the noodles were uniform.

It was in this small test that Ma Wenbin successfully passed the appraisal of the masters and officially became a ramen master.

In 1989, in the province's famous snack competition, Ma Wenbin's clear soup beef noodles won the title of "Gansu Province Famous Snack".

In 1991, Ma Wenbin and his master Zhou Fuyuan represented Gansu in Zhengzhou to participate in the National Food Competition organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and "Lanzhou Clear Soup Beef Ramen" won the Golden Tripod Award. The "Jinding" brand, which is well known to Lanzhou people, got its name. Ma Wenbin recalled that at that time, they pulled four kinds of noodles, of which 8 hands were formed, a total of 256, connected up to 384 meters long, which was the height of 130 floors.
