In recent years, as a leading meat products enterprise in Shanxi Province, Pingyao Beef Group has continued to promote the high-quality development of enterprises, led by high-end customization and standards, and launched the "Customized Cattle" project in 2019, which is the first in the province to realize the traceability of full-link information on beef products.

In November 2020, Shanxi Pingyao Beef Group Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Pingyao Guanyun Meat Industry Co., Ltd. submitted the "Customized Beef Beef Beef Cattle Breeding Management Specification" and "Customized Beef Pingyao Cold fresh (frozen) Beef and Products Processing Technical Specification" group standard preparation application.

In December of the same year, the Shanxi Food Industry Association and the Shanxi Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center organized relevant experts to review the application of the two group standards, and found that the application met the conditions for the establishment of the group standard and approved the project.

At the beginning of 2021, the two departments have twice convened experts to review the "Customized Beef Pingyao Cold fresh (frozen) Beef and Products Processing Technical Specifications" and "Customized Beef Beef Beef Breeding Management Specifications" (draft for review) compiled by Pingyao Beef Group of Shanxi Province and Pingyao Guanyun Meat Industry Co., Ltd. of Shanxi Province, and formed amendments to further improve.

The two standards are formulated on the basis of the accumulation of relevant technologies such as beef cattle breeding, slaughtering process, customized cold freshness after slaughter, fine acid discharge, cutting and storage of frozen meat products, as well as requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules and other related technologies of customized cooked meat products, combined with a number of national food safety standards and "Pingyao beef" geographical indication products.

In order to give play to the leading role of leading enterprises and highlight the advantages of the whole industrial chain of meat products in the province, the Shanxi Provincial Food Association and the Provincial Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Center combined with the "Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Ten Major Industrial Clusters for the Intensive processing of Agricultural Products" issued by the provincial government, actively promoted the formulation and implementation of two standards, provided professional support for the breeding and processing technology of customized beef cattle for enterprises and standardized market order, and also provided a guarantee for strengthening quality supervision and effectively promoting the stable and sustainable development of the local famous products - "Pingyao beef" industry.
