Honghe, 23 Dec (Xinhua) -- On 23 December, this reporter learned from the Yunnan Hekou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station that the station recently joined hands with the Hekou County Public Security Bureau to successfully crack a drug trafficking case, seized 3.379 kilograms of drugs, and arrested 2 criminal suspects.
In mid-December, the police learned in their work that a drug trafficking gang had recently purchased a batch of drugs from abroad and waited for an opportunity to sell them. After receiving the report, the Hekou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station and the Hekou County Public Security Bureau immediately dispatched elite police forces to form a special team to carry out work.
After investigation, the task force decided to close the net on December 20. On the same day, 2 criminal suspects were arrested at the scene in a hotel in Hekou County, 6 packs of methamphetamine tablets with a net weight of 3.379 kg, and 1 money detector, 2 motorcycles and 2 mobile phones were seized. At present, the case has been transferred to the Estuary Border Management Brigade for handling.
