1. How to draw lotus flowers

Painting lotus flowers, there are mainly boneless methods and boneless hook methods.

Boneless method:

Step 1: Use a large sheep pen and add water to wet (not too thin) white powder, mix with akebode, and tone pink in a saucer. Be careful to keep the white powder at the belly of the pen clean and not stained pink. After adjusting, the nib is dipped in a little rouge, draw from the center of the flower, and use the pen on the side, but here the pen should be slightly upright, and the entire belly of the pen should not touch the paper surface, so as not to seep the color out. Set aside the location for the lotus canopy and the flower buds.

Step 2: Draw the outer petals. The outer petals are larger and more stretched, at this time the brush should be tilted more, the belly of the pen touches the paper surface and rotates slightly, in order to show the roundness and fullness of the petals. When transporting the pen, pay attention to the changes in the size of the petals, enrich the level of the flower head, and do not paint the petals to be generally large. Then use slightly heavier, slightly drier colors, such as akebode, rouge, etc., to dye the petal tip again, forming a change in the entire petal from dark to light.

Step 3: Paint the lotus and flower buds. When the color is slightly dry, use a small pen of sheep to dip green or yellow-green to draw a lotus; use a small brush of wolf to dip in the drier white powder (also with ink) to hook the silk; and then dye the flower buds with garcinia dots.

Boneless graffiti method:

Draw the flower head according to the boneless method, and then use ink or rouge to outline the tendons on the petals.

Residual lotus is characterized by withered petals, petal color is not bright, the lotus canopy is larger, the lotus seed is prominent, and the flower bud is low-hanging. When painting, the color of the petals can be slightly added to the ink or flower blue, and the lotus canopy is toned green with garcinia.

2. How to draw lotus leaves

The number of leaves of plants is large, and it is necessary to arrange the dense relationship and the orientation of the leaves when painting. The leaves of the lotus flower are relatively large, generally there are 2 or 3 large leaves on a picture, and several small leaves that are not unfolded can be matched. Lotus leaves are generally drawn using the boneless method and the hook filling method. This is shown in Figure 2-9.

Lotus leaf painting method

Hook filling method: use thick ink to outline the contour and veins of the lotus leaves, and dye the semi-dry cover green, so that the leaf veins and edge lines have the effect of dipping and dyeing.

Boneless method: use a large pen to dip the light ink (or use the flower blue ink), the tip of the pen is dipped in thick ink, draw from the periphery of the lotus leaf to the center, and can also be drawn from the center to the outside, and there is no fixed method. Hook the leaf tendons when semi-dry.

Front lotus leaf: choose a large sheep pen, with ink (or flower blue and ink color), the belly of the pen is dipped in light flower blue, the pen tip is dipped in ink, the flanking pen is transported, starting from the center of the leaf, and there is no need to re-dip the ink in the middle of the way, in order to seek the natural change effect of the ink color. Wait for the ink color to dry a little, use a small wolf pen, dip a small amount of thick ink, center the pen, and draw leaf veins. The leaf veins should not be hooked too deadly, and there is no need to re-dip the ink in the middle of the way, so that the leaf veins also have natural changes in thickness.

Lotus tip and curly leaf: The lotus tip can be drawn with a flanking stroke. Curly leaves are drawn in thick, light ink colors. Then use thick ink to hook the leaf veins.

Droopy leaves: First draw the center and veins, and then use thick and light ink to draw the drooping leaves, the whole is like an umbrella.

Side leaf: First draw the rolled part with light ink, and then use thick ink to draw the front part.

3. Lotus flower scenery

A painting should be vivid, in addition to the depiction of the subject, it must also be matched with various animals and plants. The scenery of lotus flowers is mainly based on aquatic plants, such as fish, water birds, aquatic plants, etc. The scenery should not be too large, and the color should not be too bright, so as not to be noisy.
