
The Zhenyuan Museum in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, recently opened as a non-state-owned museum run by collector Tu Shengyong, and part of the collection is a precious cultural relics he has spent a lot of money to buy from abroad.
Located on the west side of the middle section of Xiangyang Chengnan Street, the museum has an exhibition hall area of 420 square meters, divided into two floors, and exhibits more than 500 collections from the Neolithic period to the Ming and Qing dynasties. The exhibition area of the museum is divided into four units of ancient Chinese timepieces, ceramics, jade and bronzes, and the collection includes ancient bronzes, jades, stone statues, calligraphy and paintings, ceramics, coins, miscellaneous and other works of art, which are open to the public free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday.
The reporter saw at the scene on the morning of the 21st that the citizens who came to visit only need to scan the code to register to enter the room.
Tu Shengyong said that many of the collections he acquired were related to Xiangyang. The purpose of building the museum in Xiangyang is to carry forward the traditional history and culture in an all-round way, so that more hometown people can feel the charm of cultural relics at close range.
Tu Shengyong introduced that the Xiangyang Zhenyuan Museum is located on the Xiangyang City Tower, which is the more floor of the ancient Jishi, also known as the "Drip Leak Platform". The exhibition features a "Ancient Chinese Timer" unit, which echoes the function of this historic building.
