Yang Shen, who was ranked first among the three talents of the Ming Dynasty, and Emperor Zhengde of the Ming Dynasty in the sixth year (1511) and the first, appointed the official Hanlin Academy to revise, and participated in the compilation of the Records of Emperor Wuzong. His father was Yang Tinghe, the first assistant to the cabinet. In the sixteenth year of Zhengde (1521), Emperor Wuzong died. Because Emperor Wuzong was childless, after consultation between Empress Zhang and Yang Tinghe, he welcomed his cousin Zhu Houxi the Prince of Xing to succeed him as Emperor Ming. After Sejong ascended the throne, he appointed Yang Shen as a lecturer of the Hanlin Academy.

At that time, Sejong ascended the throne in the form of "brother to brother", and according to the rules of imperial succession, he had to recognize Xiaozong as an "imperial examination" and enjoy the Temple, and his biological father could only be called "Bensheng Father" or "Imperial Uncle". However, on the sixth day after Sejong ascended the throne, he ordered his own courtiers to agree that his own biological father, Xingxian Wang, would be treated according to the emperor's honorific title and ceremonies, which led to the dispute over the "Great Ceremonial Discussion".

Yang Tinghe and Yang Shen's father and son are staunch "opponents." In the end, Yang Tinghe resigned from the government, and Yang Shen repeatedly wrote to resign. Enraged, Sejong formally issued an edict, renaming his biological father Emperor Gongmu, and Yang Shen and other courtiers were advised by Fu Zuo Shunmen. Sejong gave him a staff, and Yang Shen almost died, and then charged the army in Yunnan.

According to one theory, in 1524, Yang Shenfa was passing through Jingzhou, Hubei Province, and saw the fisherman and chaifu cooking fish and drinking wine on the Yangtze River, talking and laughing, so he wrote "Linjiang Xian , Rolling Water of the East Yangtze River". According to the literature, this word is the opening word of the third paragraph of Yang Shen's "Twenty-one History bullet words", "Speaking of Qin and Han", which was later placed at the beginning of the volume by Mao Zonggang's father and son when they commented on the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". The full word is as follows:

The water rolling in the east of the Yangtze River, the waves exhaust the heroes. Success or failure turns empty. The green mountains are still there, and the sunset is red a few degrees.

White-haired fisherman on the river, used to watch the autumn moon and spring breeze. A pot of turbid wine is a happy encounter. How many things in ancient and modern times are in the process of laughter.

In Jingzhou, Yang Shen said goodbye to his wife Huang E, and made a poem "LinjiangXian Shu Yunnan, Jiangling Bei Nei", expressing other feelings and thoughts, and the emotions were deep and poignant. The full word is as follows:

Chusaiba Mountain crossing, pedestrians do not go up the river tower. Zheng Xiao went to the two leisurely. Look at the distant water, alone on the lonely boat.

But envy the amorous sand on the bird, double flying double su river island. For whom is the bright moon staying tonight? Tuan Qing shadow is good, partial light do not leave the sorrow.

Today's Jingzhou, a park on the banks of the Yangtze River, is named "LinjiangXian". I guess there should be a memorial to Yang Shen!
