"Life is in chaos in the world, who is a sage and who commits adultery?" For the right and wrong, Yuan Shikai's attitude is discussed by posterity, he "does not love money or fame, and the power is in the hands of the world." Calling the emperor is the biggest stain on his life, but the starting point is not to find a path to walk. In any case, those who stand in a special period of history are bound to suffer from the evaluation of "seven points of merit and three points of excess."
In many evaluations, more people think that he is the "evil fruit" of feudal society, but in the new period, his thinking has always been inseparable from the shackles of feudal traditional thinking, saying that absurd behaviors such as emperors, three wives and four concubines, and zunkong retro have made people's hearts lost. It is no wonder that 90% of his life lives in a feudal society, and it is impossible to get rid of it all at once.
It is worth noting that after his death, he left a huge amount of wealth and many children, which can be described as a very large family. So, what happened to his children? What about 15 of them?
Yuan Shikai family
In the second year of Guangxu (1876), Yuan Shikai, who had reached the age of 17, once again participated in the scientific expedition, but still ended in failure. This became the last scientific examination of his life, and he did not even pass the examination for Xiucai, and it took money to buy a proctor qualification.
In a fit of anger, he went directly back to his hometown to marry Yu Shi, and since then he has been taking concubines until a wife and nine concubines have a total of ten wives, and they have given birth to 17 men and 15 women with a total of 32 children. Since then, the children have added 28 grandchildren and 31 granddaughters to him, and the total number of the whole family is a staggering 91, equivalent to a combination of two classes waiting for him to earn money alone to support the family.
Some people say that the record set by Yuan Shikai is enough to make his family the "first family of the Republic of China". At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, his ancestors moved to Xiangcheng, and when it was passed on to his great-grandfather Yuan Yaodong, the family already had more than 30 acres of land, and his grandfather began to have people as officials, and his uncle Yuan Jiasan even became the minister of Qincha and the governor of Caoyun.
By the Xianfeng period, the Yuan clan of Xiangcheng, Henan, had become a powerful family. Therefore, Yuan Shikai has enough ability to support the whole family of 91 people. When the examination failed, he joined the army and did not think that it would soar.
At the age of 26, he became the governor of North Korea, not only marrying a North Korean wife, but also spreading rumors with the Korean empress. Before the Sino-Japanese War, he was transferred back to China to train his army, which laid the foundation for his later political peak.
On June 6, 1916, after being forced to abolish the monarchy, he died of uremia, leaving more than 90 descendants. On the day of his death, North Korea's wife, Kim, committed suicide by swallowing kim. Shortly thereafter, rumors spread that Duan Qirui wanted to massacre Yuan's entire family, causing Yuan to panic.
In order to avoid the disaster, most of them moved to Dayingmen in Tianjin, forming the later Yuan family compound. It can also be seen from here that without Yuan Shikai, the Yuan family directly went into decline. Under the presidency of the eldest son Yuan Keding, Yuan Shikai's sons can get a piece of the pie.
Each son received a total of 100,000 yuan (80,000 silver dollars, 40 taels of gold and 70,000 yuan of various stocks), in addition to more than 20 houses for a total value of more than 200,000 yuan. The daughters were given 10,000 silver dollars, and nothing else was available; the widows lived separately, each receiving a building but no money.

In 1885, the eldest daughter, Yuan Bozhen, was born and was later promised to Zhang Yunliang, the fourth son of Zhang Renjun, the governor of Liangjiang. For her, Yuan Shikai was well educated, and was trained to be a typical lady, with a dignified temperament, which was deeply liked by the Zhang family. After the founding of new China, Zhang Yunliang worked at the Palace Museum, and she also moved to Beijing to live.
The second daughter is Yuan Zhongzhen, and like Yuan Bozhen, she was also arranged for marriage. However, she dared to refuse, did not agree to marry the nephew of the Beiyang minister Ruifang, and finally married her crush Xue Guanlan.
The third daughter is Yuan Shuzhen. She is a very talented of Yuan Shikai's many children, and her experience is also extremely special. At first, she almost married Puyi, but because she cried too much, yuan shikai gave up.
Later, she came together with Yang Yuxun, who she liked, and it just so happened that Yang Yuxun was Yuan Shikai's nephew, so she obtained Yuan Shikai's consent to marry in close proximity. It is worth mentioning that Yang Yuxun was originally Zhang Zuolin's aide-de-camp, and later defected to Wang Jingwei to become the governor of shandong province. After the end of the War of Resistance, he was executed by Dai Kasa, making Yuan Shuzhen a widow.
The fifth daughter Yuan Jizhen and the thirteenth daughter Yuan Yizhen married the same husband. At that time, Yuan Shikai married the ill Yuan Jizhen to Lu Dingsheng, the son of Lu Baozhong, a cabinet scholar, and Yuan Jizhen's health deteriorated in his in-laws' family, coupled with his unwillingness to take medicine and anger with her husband, and finally died directly.
The Lu family was very unhappy about this, and in order to win lu Baozhong, Yuan Shikai married his thirteenth daughter Yuan Yizhen, and the two families were at peace from then on.
The sixth daughter, Yuan Zhenzhen, married the son of sun Baoqi, a diplomat of the Republic of China, and her husband once became the chief of foreign affairs of the Republic of China, but she was relatively low-key. However, she inherited Yuan Shikai's character and married her daughter to Prince Gong's son, marrying her to the imperial family.
The seventh daughter, Yuan Fuzhen, was the most beautiful of Yuan Shikai's many daughters, but in the end she was betrayed. Yuan Shikai married her to Yin Tiege, the son of the Minister of War Yin Chang, for which Yin Chang also saved Yuan Shikai once. At that time, the regent Zaifeng suspected that Yuan Shikai was about to seize power, so he planned to get rid of it. However, Yin Chang tried his best to say good things, and Yuan Shikai's life was saved.
Yin Tiege did not become an official, but only became a reporter for the "Good Friend Pictorial". He was more mercurial, put his beautiful wife down, fooled around outside, and openly lived with his lover after Yuan Shikai's death.
After Yuan Fuzhen knew the truth, he directly chose to leave and finally participated in the filming of Xiangjiang, but there was no support from the forces, which made her life more bleak and bleak.
The tenth daughter, Yuan Sizhen, married Zhou Wenkai, but Zhou Wenkai was also a traitor. Yuan Sizhen is rarely recorded in the history books, and his life after marriage is unknown.
Fourteen daughters Yuan Yizhen were also arranged for marriage. At that time, in order to establish an in-law relationship with the Yuan family, Cao Kun especially proposed to Yuan Shikai for his son Cao Shiyue, and Yuan Shikai married Yuan Yizhen. Like Yin Tie Ge, Cao Shiyue was born with a temperament, and he was even more angry that Yuan Yizhen did not have the first time.
For this matter, Cao Shiyue often spent days outside arguing with Yuan Yizhen, and once even shot her, fortunately only hitting her in the shoulder. Although Yuan Shikai had died at that time, the Yuan family had not yet completely declined, so cao Shiyue was directly sued in court. Cao Kun had not yet become president, so he begged for help everywhere, and the matter was finally stopped. However, the marriage between the two also ended, and Yuan Yizhen ran away overseas and finally married the diplomat Zhang Delu.
