On December 20th, Hangcha Group (Tianjin) New Energy Forklift Truck Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hangcha New Energy"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hangcha Group (603298), and Tianjin New Hydrogen Power Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "New Hydrogen Power") held the second batch procurement contract signing ceremony in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, And Liu Jiang, deputy general manager of Hangcha New Energy, and Zhang Qidong, general manager of New Hydrogen Power, attended the signing ceremony and signed a procurement contract for 100 hydrogen fuel cell forklift trucks on behalf of both parties.
Hangcha Group is one of the largest forklift R & D and manufacturing groups in China, with product sales accounting for more than 8% of the world's total mobile industrial vehicles, and has maintained the industry's leading export for more than ten consecutive years. According to the global forklift company sales ranking of MMH Modern Material Handling Magazine in the United States, Hangcha Group has ranked eighth in the world since 2017.
As a pioneer of new energy industrial vehicles, Hangcha Group took the lead in the domestic industry to carry out a forward-looking layout of hydrogen fuel cell application technology, as early as 2016, it has begun to carry out preliminary research on hydrogen fuel cell application technology, and officially set up a project for research and development in 2018. In August 2020, the project of the R&D and production base of hydrogen fuel cell forklifts of Hangcha Group was signed and landed in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone.
The reporter learned that after Hangzhou Fork New Energy landed in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, it carried out a variety of hydrogen fuel cell forklift research and development work with New Hydrogen Power, and the technical teams of the two sides carried out in-depth cooperation around the safety, reliability and applicability of the whole machine and hydrogen fuel cell, and through a large number of rigorous test verification and continuous optimization of the whole machine, parts and components, they have been rapidly improved in both technical iteration and product maturity.
On March 5 this year, Hangcha New Energy and New Hydrogen Power signed the first batch of 100 hydrogen fuel cell forklift orders, and all of them were delivered by the end of April. At present, it has officially served Yanshan Petrochemical and other companies. The signing of another 100-unit order further expands the company's leading edge and opens a new chapter in the batch application of domestic hydrogen fuel cell forklifts.
In the process of promoting hydrogen fuel cell forklifts, Hangcha Group has always adhered to the bottom line thinking, built a solid safety defense line through technological innovation, concentrated its superior research and development resources to carefully polish products and core technologies, and comprehensively improved product safety and reliability. Echoing this, in the first half of this year, the sales volume of Class I and Class II lithium battery models of Hangcha Group increased by more than three times, and the market share of lithium battery products continued to lead the industry.
