The four car companies urgently recalled nearly 900,000 vehicles

A few days ago, the State Administration for Market Regulation released information on automobile recalls, and GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. Changchun Fengyue Company (authorized by Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.) filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products.

GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. decided to recall a total of 18,402 Velanda vehicles produced between April 15, 2020 and July 6, 2020, 105165 C-HR vehicles produced between July 27, 2018 and July 7, 2020, and 344898 Camry vehicles produced between December 7, 2017 and October 10, 2020.

Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. decided to recall a total of 93,792 Yize vehicles produced between May 4, 2018 and July 10, 2020, and some Asian Dragon automobiles produced between March 5, 2019 and September 4, 2020, with a total of 100266 units.

Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has decided to recall a total of 609 imported Lexus UX200 vehicles manufactured between December 24, 2018 and May 18, 2020, and a total of 12,364 imported Lexus UX260h vehicles produced between December 24, 2018 and April 24, 2020, starting from April 16, 2022 Some imported Lexus ES300h vehicles produced between February 13, 2018 and April 24, 2020, totaling 60,751 units; some imported Lexus ES200 vehicles produced between July 29, 2019 and April 17, 2020, totaling 39,636 units; and some imported LexusES260 vehicles produced between June 25, 2018 and April 28, 2020, for a total of 14,136 vehicles.

Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. Changchun Fengyue Company decided to recall some RAV4 Rongfang vehicles produced between October 14, 2019 and July 30, 2020 from April 16, 2022, with a total of 108235 units. GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. Changchun Fengyue Company will replace the modified EGR valve assembly for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

It is worth mentioning that the recall was carried out under the circumstance that the State Administration for Market Regulation launched a defect investigation. From now on, the dealers of GAC Toyota, FAW Toyota and Lexus will take the initiative to contact the users of the vehicles within the scope of the recall and make an appointment to arrange free inspection and maintenance of the vehicles.
