At the end of "Kite", there are 11 outstanding intelligence officers in China's history, who have made important contributions to the establishment of New China, which is admirable. But we are not talking about these 11 intelligence officers today, but the 12th person who is not written at the end of "Kite".
Yao Zijian was born in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, in the face of the invasion of Western powers, Yao Zijian firmly and diligently worked hard to serve the motherland. In 1929, at the age of 14, Yao Zijian was successfully admitted to the middle school department of Shanghai Labor University, because he participated in many petition activities, teachers and students were dismissed, and Yao Zijian returned to his hometown and became a primary school teacher.
But Yao Zijian was not willing to live like this for a lifetime, after a few months, he was successfully admitted to the Central Army Survey School in Nanjing, after graduation Yao Zijian was assigned to the National Government Central Survey Bureau printing map department to work, during the period again, met the secret agent Lu Zicheng, after his introduction, Yao Zijian became a secret intelligence worker.
In order to obtain more information, Yao Zijian was successfully transferred to the data department that kept and sent and received military maps on the grounds that he had an eye disease, where there were many confidential military maps and information files on the operation of troop movements. Using this identity, Yao Zijian obtained a large amount of confidential information and forwarded it to his own upline Shu Yuexin and Shen Anna. In 1938, Yao Zijian put forward the idea of rushing to the front, and ended his career on the hidden front, and from then on he went to another battlefield that belonged to him.
Because the intelligence staff all took a single line of contact, for Yao Zijian, he only needed to provide intelligence, and he didn't know anything after that. So by the time you know your true identity, it's 67 years later.
In 2001, Yao Zijian's on-line Shen Anna went to a unit in Jiangsu to tell the history of the hidden front during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yao Zijian's son happened to work in this unit, he heard Shen Anna's story of experience and name, his father seems to have mentioned it to him. Under his arrangement, the two old men met, and Yao Zijian realized that he had been working for the Central Special Branch, and it took 67 years for Yao Zijian to have the real identity of the Central Special Branch.
Yao Zijian died in Beijing in 2018 at the age of 103.
