Dorgon was a famous politician and military figure in the early Qing Dynasty, far more capable than others of his time, and there is a historical saying that Nurhaci was preparing to pass the throne to Dolgun before his death, but Dolgun was still in Shengjing at that time and was not around Nurhaci, so he was taken by the Emperor Taiji. Since then, Emperor Taiji has become a king, and Dolgun has become a subject.
But history seems to be reincarnated, Huang Taiji himself also died suddenly, leaving no will, Dorgon and Hauge became the most promising candidates to inherit the throne, and finally Dorgon and Hauge both gave way, and Xiaozhuang's son Fu Lin succeeded to the throne, that is, the shunzhi emperor in history.
Because the Shunzhi Emperor succeeded to the throne, there are many folk stories about the love between Dolgun and Empress Xiaozhuang, and even various remarks about the empress dowager marrying. However, so far, we have not found any record of this in the main history, and it is very likely that this is just a lie made up by people at that time.
However, although the main history does not record that Dolgun married Xiaozhuang, it does record that Dolgun married Xiaozhuang's cousin. At the age of thirteen, Dorgon married a prominent Mongolian nobleman, Qianjin, from the Mongolian Horqin clan, from the Borzigit clan, and was a righteous bai fumei. She is from the same family as Xiaozhuang, but they are not sisters, and her true identity is Xiaozhuang's cousin.
After marrying Dorgon, this woman became the concubine Fujin of Dorgon, and according to records, the relationship between Dorgon and the Borjigit clan of Dorgon was very good, and the two people have always supported each other after marriage and have never had a red face. Unfortunately, however, borzigit died in the sixth year of Shunzhi, when Dorgon was already in power, so he made her a "filial piety and loyalty concubine" after borjigit's death.
It should be known that the title of this princess is very honorable, and generally only the first woman of the tribal Khan can get this title, and dorgon being able to have such a title as Borzigit is also a comfort to her for many years.
However, Dorgon did not hold power for a long time, Shunzhi seven years, Dorgon died of injuries while hunting, and the Shunzhi Emperor officially took power. Shunzhi posthumously honored Dorgon as The Righteous Emperor, and posthumously honored Dorgon's wife Borzigit as Empress Yi. Borjigit's ability to be posthumously crowned empress is definitely a rare spectacle of the Qing Dynasty, but she did not have a long time, Dolgun's suppression of Shunzhi before his death made the Shunzhi Emperor always hold a grudge, Dorgon's body was not cold, Shunzhi dug out his body and humiliated him fiercely, the means were extremely cruel, and finally his title was also abolished by the Shunzhi Emperor, and his wife was the same fate.
The Borzigit clan was posthumously honored as the Righteous Empress in the first month of the eighth year of Shunzhi, and Shunzhi turned his face in February of that year, which means that the Borzigit clan was stripped of the title after only one month as empress, which was really short-lived.
