There were no cases from community screening in Hangzhou, and all infected people had mild symptoms

On December 20, Hangzhou held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Wang Xuchu, deputy director of the Municipal Health Commission, said that the current round of the epidemic in Hangzhou showed the characteristics of fast transmission speed, clear transmission chain, different incubation periods, complex activities of infected people, and mild symptoms.

According to reports, the viruses of the epidemic in Hangzhou belong to the Delta variant strain, which is characterized by high viral load, fast iteration, can complete replication and proliferation in a short period of time in the infected person, and has the possibility of spreading the next generation, resulting in a very fast spread of the epidemic. In addition to the first case of the epidemic, Wu Mou and his girlfriend, the other 27 cases were found in the centralized isolation point, and they have a clear epidemiological connection with each other, all of which are in the same chain of transmission. No cases of unknown origin of infection were found, and no cases from those detected in community screening were found.

Wang Xuchu said that among all the infected people in this round of the epidemic, some have a short incubation period (1 to 2 days) and some have a long incubation period (8 to 10 days). After entering the isolation point, many cases tested negative for nucleic acid several times before finally turning positive. But so far, all cases have been within the longest incubation period of 14 days.

Wang Xuchu introduced that more than half of the infected people have no symptoms when they test positive. After the subsequent admission, mild cough, runny nose, fever and other symptoms occurred. At present, 18 cases of clinical classification are mild, 11 cases are of ordinary type, and there are no severe and critical cases. At present, all patients have received effective treatment and are in recovery.
