On December 18th, the 19th Hundred Flowers Literature Award Ceremony was held in Tianjin. More than 50 writers, critics and literary editors attended the event.
The works of Feng Jicai, Li Peifu, Zhao Benfu, Shao Li, Lao Teng, Chen Yida, Ai Wei, Li Xiuwen, Yin Xueyun, Ning Ken, Yi Zhou, Mu Tao, Zhe Gui, Ban Yu, Li Qingsong, Haifei, Li Duan, Wu Tian, Duan Zi period and other writers have won the Short Story Award, the Novella Award, the Long Fiction Award, the Prose Award, the Science Fiction Literature Award, the Film and Television Drama Adaptation Value Award, and the Cultural Exchange Special Award, respectively.
Eighteen editors from literary publications such as People's Literature, Harvest, October, Contemporary, Chinese Writers, Beijing Literature, Meiwen, Works, Furong, Guangxi Literature and other literary publications won the Editor's Award.

The "Hundred Flowers Literature Award" has a history of more than 30 years, formerly known as the Hundred Flowers Literary and Art Publishing House in 1984, the "Novel Monthly" Hundred Flowers Award, which is held every two years. Wang Meng, Zhang Xianliang, Zhang Chengzhi, Feng Jicai, Jiang Zilong, Liu Xinwu, Acheng, Liang Xiaosheng, Mo Yan, Yu Hua, Jia Pingwa, Liu Zhenyun, Liu Heng, Bi Feiyu, Su Tong, Chi Zijian, Zhao Benfu, Xu Haofeng, Liu Xinglong, Chi Li, Fan Xiaoqing and other well-known writers have won the "Hundred Flowers Literature Award".
With the development of the times, the award has also been continuously improved: the 16th "Prose Award", the 17th "Film and Television Drama Adaptation Value Award", the 18th "Science Fiction Literature Award", the 19th and latest "Cultural Exchange Special Award", specially selected three outstanding publications representing Chinese culture "going out".
It is reported that the selection of the 19th Hundred Flowers Literature Award was launched in May 2021, and the selection scope is the works published in 2019-2020 by "Novel Monthly", "Novel Monthly · Original Edition", "Essay", "Prose Overseas Edition" and "Science Fiction Cube". Through reader voting and expert review, the winners will be selected.
Feng Jicai, the winning representative of the Short Story Award, welcomed writers and editors to his hometown of Tianjin, and he lamented that "Novel Monthly" has made great contributions to promoting literary prosperity and promoting novel creation, and has also left important documents for recording the development of contemporary literature.
