A few days ago, xiaoxian Jinzhai ruins protection work station was established in Jinzhai Village. The workstation is composed of full-time conservators and volunteers under the guidance of the county cultural relics department. It aims to increase the protection of cultural relics, regularly carry out cultural relics inspections, do a good job in the daily protection and management of sites, and ensure the safety of cultural relics at sites.
At the same time, the workstation set up an archaeological excavation board for the Jinzhai site, which is open for visit in the form of copying physical objects and some excavated specimens, so that the masses can share archaeological results, give play to the value of cultural relics and heritage, actively explore new models for the protection of cultural relics at the site, and form a strong atmosphere of spontaneous protection of cultural relics by the masses.
It is understood that the Jinzhai site is now a national key cultural relics protection unit, located in Jinzhai Village, Zhuangli Town, Xiao County. With the approval of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, between 2016 and 2018, the provincial cultural relics and archaeology department and the Xiao County Museum jointly excavated the site and unearthed a number of important cultural relics. The site is a large cultural relic found in northern Anhui province, which is of great significance for studying the exchange of prehistoric cultures in central and eastern China around 5,000 years ago.
