In the same vein, Sanxingdui and Jinsha brushed away the fog of ancient Shu

For a long time, ancient Shu existed only in vague legends and stories. From the last century to the beginning of this century, the discovery and excavation of sanxingdui and Jinsha sites gradually clarified the development of the ancient Shu kingdom. Archaeological data show that the prehistoric ancient city site group of Chengdu Plain, sanxingdui site, Jinsha site and Warring States ship coffin site jointly outline the general process of the ancient Shu civilization from origin, development to demise, and are an important part of Chinese civilization.

As the first peak of the development of the ancient Shu kingdom, the most prosperous period of Sanxingdui is roughly equivalent to the late Xia Dynasty to the early Shang Dynasty in the Central Plains, dating from about 3700 to 3200 years ago. By the late Shang Dynasty, the vibrant Sanxingdui culture had suddenly changed. Just at this time, the Jinsha site gradually emerged, opening another peak in the process of ancient Shu civilization. From the bronze standing people, gold masks, to bronze birds unearthed in the two places; from the golden staff of Sanxingdui to the golden crown belt of the Jinsha site; from the gold ornaments of the sun god bird to the bronze sun wheel, the exquisite ancient Shu cultural relics have bred the Tianfu cultural genes, and also provided important evidence for the establishment of the doctrine of "pluralism and unity" at the origin of Chinese civilization.

Close cooperation injects sustained vitality into the application process

With the excavation of the Jinsha site in 2001, the vein of ancient Shu civilization became clearer and clearer, and the application for heritage was also put on the agenda. In 2002, at the 28th World Heritage Conference held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, the Jinsha site, together with the Sanxingdui site and the commercial street ship coffin site, was included in the preliminary list of world cultural heritage declarations under the name of "Ancient Shu Kingdom Ruins", which began the journey of applying for the ancient Shu Kingdom.

In 2006, the Jinsha site, together with the Sanxingdui site and the ancient Shu ship coffin, was included in the "Preliminary List of World Cultural Heritage in China". In 2010, led by the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the Sanxingdui Site Museum, and the Jinsha Site Museum jointly formed the "Ancient Shu State Ruins" World Cultural Heritage Declaration Preparatory Working Group to jointly compile the text materials for the declaration of world cultural heritage. In 2012, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage re-established the "Preliminary List of World Cultural Heritage in China", and the ancient Shu civilization sites - Jinsha Site and Sanxingdui Site, the ancient Shu ship coffin joint burial tomb and was again selected for the preliminary list.

In recent years, the Jinsha Site and Sanxingdui Museum have continuously improved their research level through academic events such as joint research on gold and jade objects, holding international academic seminars on jade culture in the Xia and Shang dynasties, and international academic conferences commemorating the 20th anniversary of the discovery of Jinsha ruins; the ancient Shu civilization tour exhibition jointly organized by the two museums has traveled through more than 60 cities; and the ancient Shu treasures have also come to the United States, Japan, Italy, Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom and other places in the form of physical cultural relics, 3D prints, VR images, etc., to show this Sichuan business card to the world.

It is reported that after the signing of the "Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Promoting the "Application for Heritage"", the Sanxingdui Museum and the Jinsha Site Museum will continue to focus on the content of the agreement and inject sustained vitality into the application process of the ancient Shu civilization.
