The decoration design of these new lines not only integrates the history and culture of the ancient capital of Beijing but also takes into account the needs of urban development, and combines the direction of the line and the service area for personalized design, which will become an "art window" that serves the people, displays culture and promotes urban development.

The remaining section of Line 8, which will open to traffic at the end of this year, is expected to open Qianmen Station, Jinyu Hutong Station and Wangfujing Station. The reporter learned that these three stations continue the decoration style of the southern section of the third phase of Line 8 that was previously opened.

As the "underground central axis" of Beijing, the decoration design of the third phase of Line 8 highlights the regional characteristics along the line through the overall concept of "door view central axis", and at the same time respects and inherits the regionality and related history and culture. To meet the basic functions of traffic buildings as the premise, from the structural form to release the maximum space, reflect the ground environment cultural factors; with the image of "doors" to creatively reflect and continue the concept of "central axis".

The remainder of the third phase of Line 8 also features a variety of public art, with a total of 12 public artworks at the three stations. Among them, Qianmen Station alone arranged 5 paintings in one go, which became the biggest highlight of the entire line of Line 8.

In particular, the three public art creations at the station hall level invited three well-known artists Zhou Lingzhao, Hou Yimin and Chang Shana to create them, expressing their praise for the great rivers and mountains of the motherland and their beautiful vision for future life. After the opening of Qianmen Station, it will also become one of the most distinctive stations in the Beijing subway network.

For example, at Kitajinshu Station, the pillars in the station are designed in the style of trees, and a large tree is "grown" on the seats set up in the station, where passengers rest as if sitting under the tree to cool off, which is full of fun.

"Gathering Jinghua" has unique regional characteristics

Among the upcoming lines, the first phase of Line 19 passes through Beijing's unique old town, passing by the west side of the majestic Forbidden City complex, and the decoration of many stations is based on local cultural characteristics, each station has a unique style.

As a line through the north and south areas of Beijing, Line 19 brings together the essence of Beijing's tradition and modernity in the decoration design, highlights the overall design concept of "Gathering Beijing", the whole line meets the function of urban rail transit buildings as the premise, and the station hall entrance, transfer passage and platform building escalator triangle room focus on the decoration with the principle of highlighting orientation and recognition. The ground of the public area, the side of the station hall across the ceiling, the end wall of the station hall and the ceiling of the station hall are low-key treatment, and the equipment integration of the side wall of the station hall is attached.

The first phase of Line 19 has set up a total of 24 artworks throughout the line, with rich types and innovative design techniques, in addition to conventional mural artworks, there are also space installations with novel themes, considering the integrated design of public art and architectural structure and decoration, so that public art is perfectly integrated into the space.

At Niujie Station, the murals in the station hall show the style of various ethnic groups, and the colorful drawings at the top are the "unique" in the Beijing subway.

At Ping'anli Station, the lighting of the station hall has been carefully designed, inspired by traditional Chinese lanterns, and colorful lamps and lanterns are hung in the air, and walking in it is like entering a "Shangyuan Lantern Festival".

Jishuitan was originally a royal elephant washing pool, and in the station hall of Jishuitan Station, passengers can see the murals of elephants bathing in the pool, and there are fish on the roof as if they are wandering in the green water.
