In 1930, the 16-year-old Zhong Chibing officially joined the Red Army, because he was too young, and first became a propagandist. Later, Zhong Chibing became an outstanding expert in this field and served as the logistics director of the entire Northeast Field Army.
By 1932, at the age of 18, Zhong Chibing was promoted to director of the regiment's political department. Two years later, he was promoted to director of the division's political department. You see, neither propagandists nor propagandists, nor logistics work, nor even political work, seem to need to be on the front line. However, Zhong Chibing lost most of his thumb during the battle.
Why? No matter what position he is in, he fights bravely and likes to be on the front line. In the bloody battle of the Xiang River, Zhong Chibing was wounded in the head, and the blood flowed like a flood, but he was seriously injured and could not get out of the line of fire, and still stubbornly commanded the battle until he ensured that all the central columns crossed the river.
The most tragic was the battle against Loushan Pass, when Zhong Chibing was demoted to the position of regimental political commissar because the Red Third Army was attrition. The regimental political commissar was also doing political work, but Zhong Chibing was leading the charge again, and as a result, he was shot several times in his right calf, and his flesh was thrown out and he fell in a pool of blood.
By the time he was carried off the battlefield, because his wounds were too severe and the delay was too long, the doctor said he had to have his leg amputated. Then cut it. At that time, the battle was urgent, one had no scalpel, the other had no anesthetic, and the doctor sawed off most of Zhong Chibing's right calf with a saw.
What a heart-wrenching pain. Zhong Chibing survived, and only the mighty Red Army could survive. However, after the operation, because there was no disinfection, the wound quickly became inflamed, and the doctor said that a second amputation was necessary, and one of Zhong Chibing's calves was amputated. The right calf is all gone below the knee.

After a few days, the wound became inflamed again, and the doctor said that it was necessary to amputate the leg upwards and cut the right leg from the root of the femur. For the third time, Zhong Chibing experienced that kind of heart-rending pain. He miraculously had a hard time not dying.
The chairman came to see Zhong Chibing and said heartachely, "Little devil, are you injured?" Zhong Chibing pointed to his right leg, but he could not speak. The chairman understood Zhong Chibing's pain, and he said affectionately that a monument should be erected at Loushan Pass and wrote that Zhong Chibing had lost his leg here.
What kind of spirit did Zhong Chibing have to become a one-legged Red Army general? How tenacious perseverance is required? In this case, many people are going to fall behind. The legs are gone, how can it be revolutionized? However, Zhong Chibing was not, and he had to go on a long march with the Red Army team when he died.
Zhong Chibing, who had only one leg, finally completed the Long March with the help of his comrades-in-arms and became a founding lieutenant general twenty years later.
