The "shining red star" illuminates the heart, and the old general and the teenager write red poems on the same stage

Shanghai holds a general calligraphy and painting exhibition every year, and many youth calligraphy exhibitions are also held, but there are few exhibitions that bring the works of veteran generals and teenagers on the same stage. "Shining Red Star" - Shanghai Veteran General and Youth Calligraphy Works Exhibition was recently held in Shanghai Library, striving to let young people receive the "baptism" of revolutionary history and red culture in the interaction and exchange with veteran generals.

Sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Association for National Defense Education and the Shanghai Science and Technology Art Education Center, this is an important exhibition in Shanghai in the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, which brings together 42 works by 30 veteran generals, including General Tong Shiping and Lieutenant General Xu Jianzhong, as well as 166 calligraphy works for young people selected and sent by 16 districts in the city.

It is understood that both the veteran general and the young people have created works around the centenary of the founding of the party, the 94th anniversary of the founding of the army, and the 72nd anniversary of the founding of New China. They wrote poems of the older generation of revolutionaries such as Chairman Mao Zedong and founding generals, poems of revolutionary martyrs, golden sentences and dictionaries of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and ancient poems to express their deep affection for the motherland and the people's army.

"The health of adolescents should be physically and mentally healthy." Yu Liandong, chairman of Shanghai Xinxin Nutrition and Catering Co., Ltd., the organizer of the exhibition, told reporters that when he usually provided services for students, he noticed that mobile phones involved the energy of many students, so that they did not have much time to understand the red history and excellent traditional Chinese culture and receive revolutionary education. Holding this exhibition, allowing veteran generals and teenagers to display their works on the same stage and write revolutionary poems together, is conducive to cultivating the red cultural literacy of young people and letting them have a new understanding of today's happy life.

Hearing that they could participate in the exhibition with the old general, the teenagers were very excited. In the process of soliciting papers, they enthusiastically signed up. Many are students from key schools, including Xuhui Middle School, World Chinese Primary School. They felt that they had benefited a lot from listening to the stories of the old generals in the past, and they were more confident in their future lives.

Yu Liandong said that in the process of starting a business, he deeply realized that the party led the people to create a beautiful life, and felt that it was necessary for young people to understand and realize this. At present, the company has set up a 700-square-meter exhibition hall as a permanent exhibition hall of the "Shining Red Star" exhibition after the above picture, so that Shanghai teenagers, especially those in Xuhui District, can visit the exhibition at any time and receive red education.

Yu Liandong is also currently building a Guangqi Art Museum in his hometown of Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, which is expected to open before the 20th Party Congress next year. The museum mainly collects and exhibits works of art with red themes. The name "Guangqi" is because most of the museum's red works come from Xu Guangqi's hometown of Shanghai. In the future, young people in Yongjia County will have the opportunity to receive red education from Shanghai, and teenagers in Shanghai will also be invited to visit the Guangqi Art Museum, which is also the meaning of red education under the integration of the Yangtze River Delta.

General Sun Jin, president of the Shanghai National Defense Education Association, said that this activity is of positive significance for promoting the "four histories" education of Young people in Shanghai, strengthening their awareness of loving the party and the country and the army, and popularizing and inheriting calligraphy.
