Zhitong Finance APP learned that on December 17 (Friday) before the US stock market, new energy vehicle stocks fell. As of press time, Rivian (RIVN. US) fell 10.04%, Lucid (LCID.US) fell 3.37%, Ideal fell 2.30%, Xiaopeng fell 2.32%, Weilai fell 1.53%, tesla fell 1.91%.

Earlier, Rivian announced its first financial report after going public. The earnings report showed that Rivian's third-quarter revenue was about $1 million, which was in line with expectations; Net loss was $1.23 billion and loss per share was $12.21.

Rivian also noted in its earnings report that vehicle production is expected to be "a few hundred units less" than the production target of 1,200 vehicles in 2021. In a letter to shareholders, the company said: "We have encountered one of the most complex supply chain environments the automotive industry has ever experienced." "We are encouraged that the problems we are experiencing, while challenging, are not systemic in nature."

Separately, Elon Musk cashed out for the second time this week, again selling 934,091 shares of Tesla stock for more than $884 million.
