Phase One Microelectronics introduces the first managed Layer 2 SoC switching chip with integrated RISC-V processor

Jiwei Network News, on December 17, the first Dishui Lake China RISC-V Industry Forum was held in Shanghai Lingang. At the meeting, Yang Qing, Product Line Director of Phases Company Limited, introduced the first managed two-layer SoC switching chip with integrated RISC-V processor, Xuanyuan 1030M.

Wuhan Phaselink Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. is an integrated circuit design company jointly funded by Fiberhome Communications and the Academy of Postal Sciences of China Xinke, with a full-process chip solution from "demand to chip design to system application". Freestream is a leading IC design company in central China, a director of the China Semiconductor Association (CSIA), the Design Branch (ICCAD), and the Communications Integrated Circuit Committee (CCIC) of the China Communications Society.

Yang Qing said that Xuanyuan 1030M is a management SoC chip with integrated L2 Ethernet switching function, processing bandwidth of up to 30Gbps, designed for hub and switch deployment. Embedded RISC-V autonomous controllable CPU with a main frequency of up to 600MHz to meet the needs of upper-layer protocol processing and device management; embedded 2 10G optical interfaces, 4 1G optical interfaces, 8 1G electrical interfaces, supporting a variety of communication protocols; complete L2 bridge, VLAN, ACL and Meter functions, supporting L2 multicast, STP, RSTP, mirroring and QinQ, etc.; integrated 1.5Mbytes data cache, supporting IEEE 802.1p QoS or DiffServ-prioritized stream classification, as well as port and queue-based rate shaping at an 8 Kbps granularity; rich scheduling policies ensure stable operation of high-speed networks.

Facing different network architecture levels, for core switches, routers, edge gateways, network cards, PHY, etc., Phases has launched Xuanyuan 9, 9, 3 series, Fuxi, Nuwa, Shaohao series and other switching chips.

In addition to switching chips, for MCU products, PhaseS has both general-purpose and vehicle-grade product lines. Yang Qing introduced the vehicle specification MCU products that Phaselink is developing. Based on the advantages of exchange and safety technology, Phasesin and Dongfeng Motor develop products in the three core areas of power safety, driving information and body electronics. Among them, the high-performance Fuxi 2360 series chips for the power safety domain are equipped with high-performance RISC-V Lockstep cores, which are greater than the ARM M7 cores and have a maximum clock frequency of 400MHz.
