It is understood that the China Open Instruction Ecology (RISC-V) Alliance (abbreviated as CRVA) aims to convene enterprises and institutions and relevant social groups engaged in all aspects of the industrial chain such as RISC-V instruction set, architecture, chip, software, and machine application, around the RISC-V instruction set, to promote the development of open source open ecosystem as the goal, through the deep integration of production, learning, research and use, try to promote collaborative innovation and promote the application and promotion of RISC-V related technologies and products. Promote the rapid development of the RISC-V ecosystem in China, so that the mainland can get rid of the unfavorable situation of core chip design, intellectual property rights, and process technology being subject to people as soon as possible.
All along, the mainland wants to independently develop chips, almost unable to get rid of the shackles of European and American patents, and the biggest feature of RISC-V is that it is completely open, and users do not have to pay licensing fees.
The RISC-V architecture is extremely flexible, and developers can modify the source code freely with almost no restrictions, thus making it more likely.
RISC-V as the most concerned open source chip technology in recent years, behind the support of many semiconductor giants, including Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Samsung, IBM, Google, etc., Intel has just joined the RISC-V alliance, and intends to integrate it with the x86 architecture, and even Apple has plans to develop a chip based on RISC-V.
