In the course of our country's cultural history of more than 5,000 years, countless kings have been born, some emperors understand the sufferings of the world and love their country and people, while some kings are tyrannical and unable to exploit the people.
Among the many emperors in ancient China, there must be several emperors who impressed us very much, among which Zhu Yuanzhang was an emperor who surprised us very much. If you want to say the reason, it is actually because most of the emperors in ancient times were actually hereditary, inherited from their own fathers. Or someone very close to the king rebelled, seized power, and became an emperor. Zhu Yuanzhang does not belong to the above two ways.

Zhu Yuanzhang can be said to be a legendary figure who really climbed all the way from the low end to the top, and he simply did not have the family lineage that could help him become the God King.
When Zhu Yuanzhang was a child, his family was very poor, there was no way to go to school, so he had no culture. But it was such a great figure who grew up in a very difficult environment that eventually became the founding father of the Ming Dynasty. It can be said that after reading the things he has experienced in his life, it is actually equivalent to reading a novel that the protagonist has counterattacked all the way.
First, Zhu Yuanzhang saw the suffering of the people in his early years and set his ambition to relieve the world
Zhu Yuanzhang's original name was actually Zhu Zhongba, and the family he was born into can be said to be very poor. In order to survive the chaotic world, Zhu Yuanzhang often went to herd cattle for the homes of those rich and noble people at a very young age. When he was a teenager, his father died of illness and could not get effective treatment, and his eldest brother and mother starved to death.
Later, Zhu Yuanzhang went to the temple to live, hoping to eat a mixed meal. However, soon after, there was nothing to eat in the temple, and Zhu Yuanzhang went out with his brother to make friends in order to be able to eat. It was from this time that his relationship with the temple has never been broken.
In the era in which he lived, because of the outbreak of war everywhere, it was difficult for even monks to maintain their lives. Therefore, when Zhu Yuanzhang was only seventeen years old, he left the temple and lived a begging life. After three years of wandering life, he began to defect to Guo Zixing's Red Turban Army at the invitation of his early playmate.
Because Zhu Yuanzhang saw the suffering of the world and the sorrows of the people in his early years, this made him set up the ambition to save the people of the world from an early age, that is, this ideal and belief, so that he has been the leader of the Red Turban Army from the grassroots level in the Red Turban Army, and finally completely overthrown the Yuan Dynasty, and the Ming Dynasty was also established because of Zhu Yuanzhang's existence.
Second, Zhu Yuanzhang was called empress dowager, returning to the temple and hesitating whether to "worship the Buddha"
After Zhu Yuanzhang became emperor, he actually had a deep relationship with the Shaolin Temple. After he became king, he recalled his childhood experience of living in the temple. Therefore, one day Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to leave the palace and go to the Shaolin Temple to have a look. Zhu Yuanzhang came to a Shaolin Temple. When he arrived, the abbots and monks in the Shaolin Temple all came out to pick up the driver, and the scene could be said to be very spectacular.
We know that when we go to the temple, we must go to burn incense and worship the Buddha, and the same is true of Zhu Yuanzhang. At that time, he wanted to pray to the Buddha to bless the country and mountains he possessed that would last forever, and just as he was preparing to burn incense and worship the Buddha, he suddenly remembered that he was no longer the homeless man he had been, but the king of a country, the nine-five-year-old, how could he easily worship like this? If he kneels, won't the people of the world see his joke? But if you don't worship, the world will say that he doesn't respect the Buddha.
Just when Zhu Yuanzhang was very hesitant and contradictory, he asked the abbot in the temple:
"Do you need to kneel down too?"
As soon as he heard this question, the abbot knew in his heart that this was a very difficult question, if the abbot's answer at that time was not in line with Zhu Yuanzhang's."
taste
Then the lives of the monks up and down the temple may not be guaranteed.
So the abbot very cleverly said 8 words, that is, "
See the Buddha in the past without worshiping the Buddha.".
In ancient times"
see
", in fact, and now"
appear
In the same way, what the abbot meant was that Zhu Yuanzhang was now on the throne of the emperor, which could be said to be equivalent to the Buddha in the world. The statue of the Buddha that is worshiped belongs to the Buddha of the past, and there is no such reason why the current Buddha should worship the Buddha of the past. Therefore, Zhu Yuanzhang did not need to kneel.
The abbot's answer was in line with Zhu Yuanzhang's."
Zhu Yuanzhang was very happy when he heard this, and praised the abbot for his knowledge.
Zhu Yuanzhang experienced hardships from an early age and was adopted by the temple for a period of time. After achieving great deeds, he was praised and wished in the temple. His wandering experience in his early years can be said to be the fundamental reason why he was able to successfully govern the Ming Dynasty.
Only after experiencing human suffering will you understand how to change the world, that is, Zhu Yuanzhang's experience, which enabled him to be called the buddha of the world at that time by the abbot.
