Xiao Yi was born in 1039, a descendant of Xiao Qilu, the first chancellor of the Liao Taizu Yelü Abaoji, who served as the chancellor of the Northern Prefecture during the reign of Emperor Tianzuo Yelü Yanxi, and his second daughter was still the princess of Yelü Yanxi, but at this time it was the end of the Liao, the Liao Dynasty was in decline, and the Later Jin repeatedly attacked and social chaos.
Xiao Yi knew that the situation had been decided, so he resigned three times, and after getting the emperor's permission, he returned to his hometown, and later died of illness at home in 1111 at the age of 72, and in the third year of Xiao Yi's death, Jin Taizu completed Yan Min and led an army to attack the Liao Dynasty, and after the defeat of the Liao army, Yelü Yanxi was captured by Jin soldiers.

Back to the excavation work of the Yemaotai Liao Tomb Group, Tomb No. 7 is a 60-year-old noblewoman, wearing 10 Chinese clothes and expensive boots, in the tomb of the noblewoman, archaeologists have found many high-value cultural relics, such as the ancient board game "Backgammon", "Mountain Yi Waiting for the Map", "Bamboo Bird Double Rabbit Diagram" and so on.
