"Kun opera writing" amateur gibberish

I'm just an amateur in Kunqu writing, writing some words to pass the time, relieving anxiety, and if something is wrong, professionals are welcome to point it out.

The ancients said that words are poetry yu, song is word yu, although through the "sticky pair" of poetry, people can remember the law of ping and write poems directly, while filling in words and filling in songs need to be compared with the lyric score and music score, it seems that it is easier to write poetry.

However, poetry should also pay attention to the battle, but also to avoid a series of problems such as lonely flat, three flat tones, etc., and the poetry rhyme is narrow, a rhyme part is so many words, unlike the song, the rhyme part is relatively wide, and there are more words available.

I admire the teachers who love to write poetry and study poetry, but personally, I am obviously more interested in songwriting than poetry.

One of the reasons is that although poetry can now be written, it can only be chanted (there are also Kun singing, although Kun singing is a controversial matter), and the number of filled cards can write legendary stories, can rely on the main cavity arrangement, rely on the body to sing the expression, and the connection between the song and the song can also be displayed on the stage.

I am very grateful to the teachers who admired the teachers who wrote the "Kunqu Opera Song Card and Sample Collection", as well as the "Chaotic Years of Light" qu friends who have never met, who have made Kunqu opera writing very easy to get started in the electronic age.

Many people like Kunqu opera because of the elegant and beautiful rhetoric of Kunqu opera, in fact, when filling in the words and filling in the songs, it is easier to write beautiful words and sentences.

As long as you choose beautiful words and imagery, even AI can write works that conform to the need to go up, sad, literati sentimental, sighing wind and moon, or literati elegance.

But is such a "mouthful of incense" works of decisive significance in the play? Even if ai "writes" a work of flowery rhetoric and sad spring and autumn, what about it? There is a word in German called Melancholisch, which means cheap sentimentality.

A few days ago, Oshi wrote an article saying that Chinese literati are prone to immersion in sentimental emotions. Falling red, broken moon, Huafa, etc., are easy to make people sentimental, and adding these images also makes people feel that the work is beautiful. For example:

I once filled in a "Sheng Cha Zi" as an introduction when writing a Kunqu opera script:

[Sheng Cha Zi] A little bit of dawn came, blowing through the seal incense ai. Slight wine rouge blossoms, secretly hate peach blossoms.

Such words and phrases may seem beautiful and sentimental at first glance, but they are more cookie-cutter and cheap. This primer can be used in any legend because it has no characteristics.

What is more difficult and more important is to write a singing section that can meet the characteristics of the characters in the script, experience, and feelings. That is, "characteristics", as soon as you look at this song card, the audience strongly feels that it is the tone of a certain person in the legend of so-and-so.

However, such "characteristics" are often difficult to express in very flowery and elegant terms. Take the "Chaoyuan Song" in the Kun opera "Qin Pick" as an example (although the "Chaoyuan Song" itself rhymes a lot wrong):

【Chaoyuan Song】 "Changqing Short Qing", what kind of people are away from hate? Cloud heart water heart, what is idle and depressed? Once spring came, a flower faded, how to give birth to my eyebrow marks. The clouds cover the firewood door, and Zhong Er listens on the pillow. The cypress sat in the middle of the burning, and the plum blossom tent was dusty. Sure enough, it was ice clear jade run. Long and short, who commented, who is afraid to comment?

This "Chaoyuan Song" tells the story of the monk Chen Miaochang, although he fell in love with the scholar Pan Bizheng, but in the face of the courtship of the scholar Pan Bizheng, he pretended to be reserved. She wanted to express her family's attitude of not loving red dust, so she sang this "Chaoyuan Song".

Except for the last sentence, "Long and short, who comments, who is afraid to comment", the other words, although beautiful, do not have strong characteristics. Almost any monk or hermit character is likely to sing such words (and set aside the issue of the single set, as far as rhetoric is concerned).

How to write a song that is both beautiful and full of characteristics and very touching needs technology.

The "Front Cavity" and "Epilogue" in "Smelling bells" of the "Hall of Eternal Life" and the "Undress Shirt" in "Crying Portrait" are very impressive, even more impressive than "Wuling Flower".

This is because the characteristics of these songs are very distinct, so that the audience can know that Tang Minghuang is crying Yang Guifei when they listen to it, and although [Wuling Flower] is also written with a thousand sorrows, its characteristics are not as obvious as the "front cavity" and "stripping shirt".

If there is no recitation, the audience can perceive the melancholy, but cannot feel that this melancholy is unique to Tang Minghuang.

【Wuling Flower】 Thousands of miles of travel, how many sad and cool road conditions. Looking at the overlap of cloud mountains, it seems that I am confused and intertwined. The boundless falling wood sounded in autumn, and the lonely goose in the long sky choked with sorrow. When I mention sad things, tears fall like tears. Looking back at the slope of the horse ridge, I didn't feel full of hatred. The flag is on the back, the sun is on the back, and the wind is shaking. How to pause the rough horses, how to pause. Only to see Huang Ai scattered in the sky. The mourning ape breaks its intestines, and listens to the rules of the child call blood, so as to teach people to be afraid to listen. Vultures are not miserable and man. Vultures are not miserable and man. How the depression is born. There are few people under the Emei Mountain, and the cold rain and oblique wind are blowing in the face.

Without Emperor Tang Ming's recitation and The dialogue between Emperor Tang Ming and Gao Lishi, [Wuling Flower] can also be the sorrow of any sad person who has landed on Ma Songpo Huaigu.

Because the imagery of cloud mountains, chaotic sorrows, falling trees, and remnants of the sun, although beautiful, can belong to any one person. However, the feeling of "Stripping Shirt, Xiao Liang Zhou, and Qi" is very special, because they convey the regret and pain unique to Emperor Tang Ming.

[Take off the cloth shirt, Xiao Liang Zhou, Yi Chapter] Shame kill us to hide our sadness, can not save the moon and flowers. It is the widow who has no claim at all, and it is not appropriate to let her go lightly. If I had resisted, he might not have offended the king. Even if you commit a crime, you will never be able to do it, but you will always be a pair. Now that I am alone, I ask what the scenery will be for the rest of my life. Only tears and sorrows, heaven on earth, how can this hatred be paid.

To write a distinctive, beautiful and elegant lyric, you have to consider allusions.

It is easy to use allusions in today's era of knowledge explosion, but for ordinary Kunqu opera writing enthusiasts, if they use the classics even (like the fold of "Alive Capture" in "Water Margin"), will the audience be interested in inquiring about these allusions? If it is performed on stage, the audience is too late to check, and the script is unlikely to circulate everywhere before the performance. Of course, Kunqu opera audiences are willing to take the time to understand the allusions in the works of classic Kunqu opera creators such as Tang Xianzu, but why spend time to understand the allusions of a new drama?

In addition, writing a legendary story, if it is to be put on stage, then the main line of the story may not be too complicated.

After all, today's Kunqu opera has only a total of four folds, and for ordinary people, it is often only too late to expound a main line. If there are other lines and dark lines, it is easy to explain clearly in a play.

A TV series can have many clues in the advancement of the plot, because it has dozens of episodes, an episode of tens of minutes, Kunqu opera a song card to sing it takes four minutes to six minutes; movies, TV series through the conversion of the lens, the light and shade, the actor's micro-expression, can convey a lot of meaningful hints, and Kun opera needs to create an atmosphere through the actor's body, small actions, expressions, to create an atmosphere, convey the details that the lyrics can not express; a novel can have a different style, but for Kun opera, Although different authors can write different styles of lyrics and stories, and different actors can also express different styles, the main characteristics and feelings of Kunqu opera are certain, because Kunqu opera is an ancient drama, and its genre is clear.

Sometimes I think, what is literature and art? Thought is indeed important, but thinking and reasoning are not the only core of literary and artistic works. It is the task of philosophy to carry out meticulous reasoning. If literary and artistic works are measured only by the depth and breadth of the degree of thinking, we will feel that it is better to appreciate literary and artistic works than to read philosophical books and read newspapers that discuss current affairs. It is believed that the criteria for measuring literary and artistic works are diverse.

For example, "Attack on Titan", on the one hand, the work expresses the philosophy of heavy topics such as life and death, on the other hand, after reading this work, readers are even more shocked and moved by the spirit of daring to explore and face the truth.

Once shocked, the purpose of Attack on Titan as a literary work was also achieved.

After reading "The Tea House", there is a kind of sadness that is complicated, and this sadness is related to that particular era, so that the reader can experience this emotion, and the purpose of "The Tea House" has also been achieved.

Literary and artistic works are not research reports of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, nor are they academic papers.

Literary and artistic works should lead the audience into a specific world and experience the unique emotions and spirit of this world. Such emotions and spirits cannot just stay on melancholisch, so the world constructed by the author must be solid and logical, and the people in this world must also be figurative. Otherwise, even if this work can bring the audience to all levels of emotion, the emotion it brings is superficial, cheap, and plastic. The sadness of "the land is really clean after falling into a white expanse" in "Dream of the Red Chamber" is heavy, because such sadness and sadness are based on the "impermanence of life" of religious philosophy, the rich historical background and vivid and profound character descriptions, the author's sympathy and respect for women, and so on. Dig out these, the sadness transmitted to the readers by "Dream of the Red Chamber" will become cheap, or some deep readers will not be moved by the "Dream of the Red Chamber".

So what kind of world does Kunqu opera works want to lead readers into? What kind of impression do you want to bring to the reader? Under the premise of only 40% off, how to break the game? This is not just something that the author alone can do.

To achieve this goal, it takes a good script, a good team of actors, a good arranger, and so on (even if the song card has a main cavity, it is inseparable from the arrangement: such as "Dripping Slip", sometimes can express cheerful emotions, sometimes can express nervous emotions, such as "A Bunch of Snow").

Although the literati who wrote Kunqu opera in the past had a much higher status than the actors who acted in Kunqu opera, Kunqu opera was not a simple literary work, and the design of the singing voice and the design of the body were also very important. Before, a ququ friend said to me, Kunqu opera is more elegant than Peking Opera, right? I laughed sheepishly. I think this ququ friend only evaluates opera from a literary point of view, but opera is not only the lyrics to be appreciated, and opera is not only literary.

If you only read the lyrics, of course, Kunqu opera is the most elegant (of course, Kunqu opera also has popular drama, and other dramas also have elegant words, here is a generality). However, opera is a diversified comprehensive art, once the vocal cavity body and so on are taken into account, there is no difference between the various types of drama.

The influence of the approval of Kunqu opera scripts on the creation of Kunqu opera scripts cannot be ignored. Since the troupe no longer relies on the audience to eat, in order to get the project funding, many troupes also have to use scripts with correct themes, so they have no time to consider the quality of the script itself as a literary and artistic work.

For movies and books, when people see the climax or touching plot, they will have a long time to reminisce. The way to reminisce is often to read the original plot again and relive it.

But for a good Kun opera, when people sing the song that pushes the plot to the climax, the climax is awakened, revisited, and even reproduced. People will re-enter the magical world that the Kunqu opera writer wants to lead the audience into, and feel the unique touch in that world.
