Today, when I go to northern Shaanxi, I love to sing "Shandan Dan blossoms red and colorful", there are always heroic stories, heroic experiences, and heroic breaths, as well as the blood-colored romance of heroes left in the yellow land.
Xie Zichang was a native of Zaoshuping, Anding County (now Zichang City), Shaanxi Province, and one of the founders of the Red Army and the Soviet District in northern Shaanxi.
In Shandan Danhua, let's start with Xie Zichang's love story.
According to Xie Shaoming, the eldest son of Xie Zichang, his father Xie Zichang should have married 4 wives.
First: People only know her surname Nan, there is not much information to find. Her union with Xie Zichang was arranged by her family in 1918. At that time, Xie Zichang was studying at Xi'an Provincial No. 1 Middle School, and his family introduced him to several objects in his hometown, but he did not agree, because he longed for free love and did not want to accept the old-style marriage of his parents' orders and the words of a matchmaker. However, the family saw that he was twenty years old and it was time to start a family, so they found a woman with a surname of good character and good looks for her in the village, and wrote to him to let him go home for the winter vacation for the New Year.
After receiving the letter, Xie Zichang thought that his parents thought of himself, and hurried home after the test. Who knew that the family had prepared a family affair for him, and he wanted to resist, but when he saw his mother lying sick in bed, he had to submit. On the night of his wedding, he sat alone on a bench until dawn. The next day, he left his hometown to show his resistance. The family saw that the strong twist could not be achieved, so they sent the woman with the surname Nan back, which was considered to be a "divorce". The woman with the surname Nan was more enlightened, and she did not blame the Xie family for this, and later, she even reported that the Xie family had evaded the Kuomintang pursuit.
The second: I don't know who the surname is, from Xie Shaoming's recollection, it can be seen that she is Xie Shaoming's birth mother, Xie Shaoming was born soon after, she died, almost no information to find.
The third and fourth places are You Xiangzhai and Shi Xiuyun.
You Xiangzhai, formerly known as Liu Zhilan, was born in 1912 in Mizhi County, Shaanxi Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1926 and served as the chairman of the Mizhi County Women's Association, and was later assigned by the party organization to do underground work in the Beijing-Tianjin area, and in 1933 he married Xie Zichang, the founder of the Northwest Red Army and the Northwest Revolutionary Base Area.
You Xiangzhai and Xie Zichang met around 1926, when Xie Zichang returned to Anding County to continue to run a militia group, using the league's general status to carry out revolutionary activities. You Xiangzhai was the head of the Mizhi County Women's Association, advocating women's liberation, fighting against the stubborn feudal forces in poor and backward northern Shaanxi, educating the people, and enabling women at the lowest level to begin to awaken. Xie Zichang wrote a letter to You Xiangzhai and gave You Xiangzhai great encouragement. The two met in the letter.
In 1930, Xie Zichang wrote to You Xiangzhai again, saying that "ten thousand gold is easy to obtain, and a confidant is difficult to meet", expressing his admiration for You Xiangzhai. However, You Xiangzhai was bent on revolution at that time, and did not want to fall in love and get married early, plus he had not met Xie Zichang, so he did not express his position.
In 1933, under the persuasion of friends and comrades, You Xiangzhai moved his mind to agree to Xie Zichang's pursuit and told his mother about it. The mother said to You Xiangzhai, "You must at least let me see what my son-in-law looks like, right?" You Xiangzhai then wrote to Xie Zichang asking him to send him a photo and pass his mother's pass. After Xie Zichang received the letter, he risked being arrested, took a standard photo and sent it to You Xiangzhai.
In the summer of that year, You Xiangzhai was sent to Beijing, Tianjin, and Zhangjiakou to do underground work and serve as the chairman of the Anti-Japanese Women's Salvation Association in Chahar Province. At that time, Xie Zichang was in charge of the organization of our party in the 18th Division of the Allied Army, and assisted the division commander Xu Quanzhong in directing the battle. The two had their first meeting in Zhangjiakou. Comrades were very touched to hear about their love history, and urged them to get married as soon as possible, they borrowed a private house, a quilt, changed into clean clothes, and lived together even if they were married.
In November of the same year, Xie Zichang returned to Shaanxi as a military commissioner for the northwest. When he said goodbye, You Xiangzhai was pregnant and couldn't help but cry. Xie Zi Chang'an Ju You Xiangzhai asked her to be stronger, and said that when the situation opened up in the northwest in the future, he would come to pick up You Xiangzhai and give her a good name for the child who was about to be born.
After returning to northern Shaanxi, Xie Zichang, under extremely difficult conditions, restored the 1st detachment of the Red Army guerrillas in northern Shaanxi, strengthened the 2nd and 3rd detachments, established the 4th and 5th detachments, and assisted local party organizations in establishing the Red Guards, the Young Pioneers, and the Women's Association, expanding the influence of the Party and the Red Army, and establishing the Stable and Yanchuan base areas. However, in the process, he broke off contact with You Xiangzhai because in the autumn of 1934, due to the betrayal of traitors, especially Zhai was unfortunately arrested in Tianjin.
Xie Zichang wrote several letters to You Xiangzhai, but he could not receive a reply from You Xiangzhai and later learned the news of You Youxiangzhai's arrest. In prison, especially Zhai, in the face of the enemy's interrogation and extortion of confessions, has never revealed his true identity. Because she was pregnant when she was in prison, she gave birth to a baby boy. In prison, with no clothes and no nutrition, she was determined to raise her children as adults with firm revolutionary convictions and strong maternal love.
To this end, You Xiangzhai asked the prison for milk powder for the child, and after being refused, he went on a hunger strike, and also went on a collective hunger strike with other victims to improve the treatment, and won a short victory. Subsequently, the reactionary military police decided to transfer them to the relatively remote Zhangjiakou Prison for more brutal persecution. After discovering the conspiracy, You Xiangzhai took his children and comrades-in-arms to lie down on the tracks at Xizhimen Station and refused to go to Zhangjiakou. The reactionary military and police frantically beat them and shot and intimidated them, but to no avail, they had to escort them to Beiping Prison.
During this period, Xie Zichang, who was far away in the northwest, received the news that You Xiangzhai had died in the lying rail protest. Xie Zichang was hit so hard that he could not even accept the "reality" of this false rumor for a while. After a while, the comrades saw that he was alone and needed to be taken care of, so they introduced Him to Shi Xiuyun, a girl from Anding.
Shi Xiuyun was progressive in his thinking and admired Xie Zichang, and the two married in May 1934.
In August of the same year, Xie Zichang was seriously injured during the first "encirclement and suppression" launched by the Kuomintang army against the Soviet region of northern Shaanxi. While dealing with the enemy's search and arrest, Shi Xiuyun did his best to carefully take care of Xie Zichang, but because of the hardships of life in northern Shaanxi at that time, the harsh environment, the lack of doctors, and the lack of medicines, Xie Zichang could only use pumpkin dumplings to apply to the wound to relieve pain, often unable to eat even a hot meal, and soon he could only lie in bed.
In July 1937, You Xiangzhai ended two and a half years in prison, and in December, he took his children and went through hardships to yan'an, a holy place. But at this time, it had been more than two years since Xie Zichang's unfortunate death on February 21, 1935.
Although revolutionary love bears the baptism of tears and pain, in the spirit of the revolution, it is like Shandan Danhua blooming endlessly year after year.
When Xie Zichang died, he was only 38 years old, and before he died, he said to his relatives and comrades around him: "If I die like this, I am so sorry for the people, and I have done too little for them!" In the face of the departure of their lover, You Xiangzhai and Shi Xiuyun turned their grief into strength and once again threw themselves into the fiery revolutionary cause with their comrades.
In Xie Shaoming's memory, you Xiangzhai and Shi Xiuyun's two stepmothers were very kind to him. After his father's death, he first followed his stepmother Shi Xiuyun to Yan'an, where he was arranged to attend school in Anse. Because of his older age, in 1939, at the age of 14, he joined the party, and "Mother Shi" also made him feel maternal love when he lost his mother from childhood. "She always took me to her for a vacation... Sew and mend for me, improve my food, and warm the heart of this orphan with the love of women."
After You Xiangzhai came to Yan'an, he first worked in the Women's Federation of the Border District, and later transferred to the director of the HuanXian Women's Federation. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, she worked in Jinnan and heard that the organization was going to send Xie Shaoming to study in the Soviet Union, so she rushed all the way to prepare clothes for Xie Shaoming, and the two of them also took photos of Zhang Xiang in front of the Yan'an Pagoda as a souvenir. Xie Shaoming said: "After my mother died, I met two stepmothers, both of whom were good mothers for me. It was only when he returned to China that "Mother Shi" had already died — after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Shi Xiuyun was transferred to the northeast. By this time, her myocarditis was already very serious, and the organization made her grasp the treatment and assign tasks after her body recovered. However, after her repeated requests, she was successively arranged to work in the Changchun, Mudanjiang Railway Administration and the Northeast Railway General Administration, and finally died in Jilin on December 19, 1948 due to the ineffectiveness of rescue due to the onset of illness.
As for "You Mama", Xie Shaoming said: "My You Mama, after the founding of New China, came to Beijing, and when I was studying in the Soviet Union and working in the northeast, I often wrote to her to greet her. Later, I was transferred to Beijing to visit her old man's home more conveniently, and we became a mother and son with deep feelings. ”
In September 2006, you Xiangzhai died in Beijing at the age of 94. In October, her relatives, in accordance with her last wishes, scattered her ashes on the banks of the Wuding River in Shilipu Township, Mizhi County. Subsequently, in accordance with her last wishes, she donated all her life savings of 200,000 yuan to Mizhi Middle School, and set up the "You Xiangzhai Girls' Scholarship Fund" to help female students studying in Mizhi Middle School with excellent character and excellent academic qualities and family difficulties to successfully complete their studies, encourage them to improve themselves, become talents as soon as possible, and make more contributions to the motherland and society.
Shandan Dan blossomed brightly, and the revolutionary ancestors let their life's emotions bloom on the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, becoming an indelible landscape for future generations to remember and commemorate. As for Xie Shaoming, in the love of the two "mothers", he inherited his father's legacy, and served as deputy director of the Harbin Aircraft Engine Factory, secretary of the Chifeng Municipal Party Committee, special adviser of the State Science and Technology Commission, and made his own contributions to the motherland and the people.
