Born in 1903, Liu Zhidan is the most senior general in our Red Army and an outstanding revolutionary. He participated in the Eastern Crusade and began to conquer the enemy near the mouth of Luoxia, but he was only 33 years old when he died, and he built his memorial pavilion in Liulin County, Shanxi Province. The relics he left behind were only a few documents and six cigarettes.
How did General Liu Zhidan die? At present, there are two main theories
After Liu Zhidan's sacrifice, his body was sent back to northern Shaanxi, and in honor of this hero, his hometown was changed to Zhidan County. The official account of why and how he died is that he was hit by an enemy bullet that year. This statement once appeared in a book by Pei Zhouyu. At that time, Pei Zhouyu was a commissioner of the Red Army.
He recalled the scene of that year, before Liu Zhidan's sacrifice, there were only three people left in his place, and the enemy suddenly attacked and took Liu Zhidan's life. However, in the records written by Li Sheng, there was such a statement, saying that no one remembered to hide at that time, because the war was almost over, but he did not expect that Liu Zhidan was hit by a bullet, which penetrated from the buttocks and came out of the lower abdomen, and the injury was very serious.
Liu Zhidan was the founder of the revolutionary base area in the northwest, the source of the Red Army in the northwest was the Shaanxi-Gansu guerrillas, and the banner of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army has been flying in the northwest since it was raised, and the revolution in the northwest was very rapid. In 1932, the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Guerrilla Group was formally established, with Xie Zichang as the commander-in-chief and Li Jiefu as the political commissar.
The people of that land were often abducted by bandits, so when they saw Xie Zi growing them, they quickly took the children and the old man and dragged things to drive the livestock and disappeared. The whole village was empty in an instant. Seeing this scene, Liu Zhidan's heart became sour, and he was even more sympathetic to the people on this side.
In this village, there was a man named Zhang Wanyou, because the mother of the family was blind, they could not escape, he took his mother into hiding, listening to the movements of these troops. I didn't hear the sound of robbing things, and I was confused. So he went back to look at it, and was very happy when Liu Zidan saw him.
Quickly poured water for him, and gently inquired about the situation in the village, and also expressed his identity and intentions clearly, after hearing it, Zhang Wanyou quickly recruited the villagers back. Therefore, Liu Zhidan lived in the cave of Zhang Wanyou's family. It also began to establish the first Red Army contingent belonging to Shaanxi and Gansu.
In this cave against the window is an earthen kang, which has a place of soil blocks to feed the cattle, posters on the wall, and a small side hole, which is the place to hide, if there are bandits coming, you can directly go up and attack the bandits with stones. The caves are small but strong in defense and attack.
Many cave dwellings in the Shaanxi-Gansu region are built in this way, of course, there are also some people who use the function of direct evasion and escape. In those days, bandits were everywhere in Shanjiayuan, and those warlords also tried to extort the people, so the population in that area was very small, and it seemed that they were very poor.
In that generation, there was also a mountain song, which was the story of Xie Zichang and Liu Zhidan's revolution in Shanjiayuan. Now that General Liu Zhidan has been dead for many years, in the past few decades our revolution has succeeded, the war has been victorious, and people have lived a peaceful and happy life.
