Shenzhen, 16 Dec (China News Network) -- The Guangdong Coast Guard Bureau reported on 16 December that since August, the Guangdong Shenzhen Coast Guard Bureau has organized special forces to work with relevant departments to carry out centralized and pollution-free destruction of smuggled frozen goods seized and sealed over the years. The destruction operation lasted for 3 months, destroying more than 5,000 tons of various smuggled frozen products, worth more than 200 million yuan, which was the largest destruction of frozen products by the Shenzhen Coast Guard Bureau in recent years.

It is reported that the batch of frozen products is all kinds of frozen products seized in the smuggling cases handled by the Shenzhen Coast Guard Bureau in the past two years, including dozens of kinds of beef blinds, frozen pork belly, pig ears, beef, beef tendons, chicken feet, chicken wings and so on.

At present, the batch of frozen products have been inspected and quarantined in accordance with the regulations and published and publicized, and after approval by legal procedures, they have been centrally and publicly destroyed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Guiding Opinions on the Disposal of Smuggled Frozen Products in Guangdong Province". The entire destruction process is carried out under the supervision of Coast Guard law enforcement personnel, and the bottom is recorded through law enforcement recorders until the destruction is completed, ensuring that the smuggled frozen goods will not flow into the market again.

The Shenzhen Coast Guard Bureau said that smuggled frozen products are not included in official supervision, the source channels are unclear, the food quality and safety status is unknown, and there are great risks and hidden dangers after flowing into the market.
