In order to implement the relevant content spirit of the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Protection of Cultural Relics and Scientific and Technological Innovation" and the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and Shandong University", and focus on displaying the results of the "2021 National Top Ten Cultural Relics Collection Restoration Project Promotion Activities", on December 15, the 2021 National Cultural Relics Collection Protection and Restoration Forum hosted by the Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Center and other units was held in Qingdao, Shandong.
At the opening ceremony, Liu Shifa, president of China Cultural Relics Newspaper, Wang Tingqi, deputy director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province and deputy director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Xin Long, deputy director of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Kong Lingdong, secretary of the Party Working Committee of The Qingdao Campus of Shandong University, delivered speeches successively.
At the meeting, 29 units were commended for winning the "2021 National Top Ten Cultural Relics Collection Restoration Project" and the "2021 National Excellent Cultural Relics Collection Restoration Project". Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Center attended the meeting as the unit of "2021 National Top Ten Cultural Relics Collection Restoration Project" and delivered a speech.
Wang Chuanchang, director of the Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Center, said that the "Shandong Yinan Heyang Community Cemetery Unearthed Silk Fabric Protection and Restoration Project" implemented by the center can be successfully selected as the "2021 National Top Ten Cultural Relics Collection Restoration Project", which is another embodiment of the breakthrough achievements in the protection and restoration of movable cultural relics in Shandong, which is the result of the care and support of the superior leaders, the result of the unity and struggle of colleagues, and thanks to the leaders, experts, friends and colleagues at all levels who have been concerned about and supporting the protection of Cultural Relics in Shandong. This honor is both an encouragement and a spur. In accordance with the requirements of the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Protection of Cultural Relics and Scientific and Technological Innovation", the Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Center will promote the protection of cultural relics in Shandong to a new level and create a new situation with a higher morale and fuller enthusiasm.
In order to thoroughly implement the relevant spirit and requirements of the central government, promote the scientific and technological innovation of cultural relics protection and the inheritance and development of traditional restoration techniques, the launching ceremony of the "China Cultural Relics Protection Lecture Hall" was held during the forum. The Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Technology Association, China Cultural Relics Newspaper and the Cultural Heritage Research Institute of Shandong University have reached a strategic cooperation to jointly launch the "China Cultural Relics Protection Lecture Hall" series of live broadcast activities in 2022 together with relevant online media platforms, and work together to create a new model of high-level, high-quality, easy-to-disseminate and easy-to-interact cultural relics protection lectures.
Subsequently, Tie Fude, vice chairman of the China Association of Cultural Relics Protection Technology, Zhao Feng, director of the China Silk Museum, Jia Wenzhong, research librarian of the China Agricultural Museum, and Fang Hui, dean of the School of History and Culture of Shandong University and the Institute of Cultural Heritage, through a combination of online and offline methods, respectively, with the topics of "The Development Trend of Cultural Relics Protection Science and Technology", "The Whole Chain: The National Silk Model of Cultural Relics Collection Protection and Restoration", "The Century-old Inheritance of Beijing Bronze Restoration", and "The Exploration of High-level Talent Training in Archaeology and Cultural Relics Protection in Colleges and Universities in the New Era". From the aspects of cultural relics protection science and technology, cultural relics restoration and inheritance, and talent training, the development process of cultural relics protection and restoration is sorted out, and the new concepts and methods of cultural relics collection protection and restoration are discussed.
