Beijing, December 16 (Reporter Ying Ni) At the important time node of the 50-day countdown to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the online book launch of "Winter Olympic Journey - Crossing 21 Cities of Ice and Snow" was held online on the 16th.

The Winter Olympics, hosted by the International Olympic Committee, are the world's largest comprehensive event in winter sports. From 1924 to 2022, the Winter Olympics have endured a century of ups and downs and 24 glorious blooms. From the 16 sub-events of the 1924 Summer Monni Winter Olympics to the 109 sub-events of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Winter Olympics projects are more abundant and wonderful with the courage of human beings to challenge the limits, from the initial 16 countries and regions, 258 athletes participated, to nearly 100 countries and regions, nearly 3,000 athletes participated, the Influence of the Winter Olympics in the world is getting bigger and bigger. In 2015, Beijing won the right to host the 24th Winter Olympic Games in 2022, becoming the world's first "city of two Olympic Games". In response to the concept of "sharing the Olympic Games", the Children's Branch of China Map Publishing Group co-authored and published the book with outstanding creators inside and outside the United Nations, and received official support from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee.

"Winter Olympic Journey - Through 21 Ice and Snow Cities" is a popular science picture book that tells children about the Winter Olympic Games. The content takes the previous Winter Olympic cities as a clue, from Chamonix, the host of the 1st Winter Olympic Games in 1924 to Beijing, China, which will host the 24th Winter Olympic Games, taking readers through 21 Winter Olympic cities and appreciating the excitement and legend of the 24th Winter Olympic Games. The book introduces the characteristics, emblems, mascots, medals, posters, competition items, famous athletes and their achievements of each Winter Olympic host city; tells the wonderful moments in the torch relay and the opening and closing ceremonies, interesting Winter Olympic knowledge; details the history of the Chinese Winter Olympics and the dream-chasing road of Chinese athletes; and finally adds the Winter Olympic knowledge quiz and the map of the winter Olympic host city.

At the new book launch, Sun Long, a teacher at the Ice Sports College of China Sport University, a former national team athlete in speed skating, and the champion of the Asian Championships, said that the biggest sports event in 2022 is the Beijing Winter Olympics, how to let the Olympics light up children's dreams, let winter sports integrate into hundreds of millions of teenagers, let the Olympic spirit take root in the hearts of every child, need our children to learn the knowledge of the Winter Olympics, understand the Winter Olympics; seize the opportunity of the Winter Olympics, participate in ice and snow sports; actively participate in winter exercise, and carry forward the spirit of the Winter Olympics Relay the torch of the predecessors and run to a better future.
