On December 15, the procuratorial committee of the Huanggang Municipal People's Procuratorate was engaged in a heated discussion on the appraisal of injuries involved in an intentional injury case, and the Judicial Appraisal Center of the Huanggang Municipal People's Procuratorate assigned forensic experts to attend the procuratorial committee to provide special answers to the technical evidence review opinions of the case and accept consultation from the members of the procuratorial committee.
The undertaking procurator introduces the case
On November 18, 2021, the court accepted the case of suspect Xu X's intentional injury, and because Xu had objections to Wang's injury appraisal opinion and submitted a request for re-appraisal, the procurator undertook the case and initiated the technical evidence review procedure.
The appraiser explains and answers the technical review
After review, the forensic expert of the Judicial Appraisal Center of the Municipal Procuratorate believes that the causal relationship in this case is clear, and his appraisal opinion can be accepted. At the meeting, the members of the procuratorial committee questioned the case procurator and the appraiser on the facts of the case and the basis of the appraisal, and the appraiser gave an easy-to-understand explanation of his doubts on the basis of professional review in the early stage. The members of the Procuratorial Committee unanimously believe that the technical evidence review work will help to provide more comprehensive evidence for the procurator undertaking the case and escort the quality of the case.

It is understood that after the meeting, the procurator in charge of the meeting explained to the criminal suspect on the technical review opinion, the suspect admitted guilt and accepted punishment, and the two parties reached a settlement.

In the next step, the court will continue to explore mechanisms for appraisers to attend the procuratorial committee and appraisers to attend courtrooms, give full play to the role of procuratorial technical work in litigation, ensure the quality of case handling, achieve full coverage of technical evidence review in the arrest and public prosecution links, and promote the improvement of case handling quality and efficiency.
