A poem rewritten from Tang Dynasty and written by a puppy provoked the poet's death

author:Old street taste

Tang Dynasty poets were in an era of relatively free creative creation, and they were also more tolerant of poets. But in the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was a bit cruel.

In the Ming Dynasty, there was a poet who, because the poem wrote about a pet dog, was considered to be ironic, and it actually led to the disaster of killing. And this poem is actually a use of Wang Ya's "Palace Words" of the Tang Dynasty.

Hong Liangji told this story in the "Poetry of Beijiang":

Gao Shilang Qi, with the palace words "the little dog barks in the air across the flowers, and the palace prohibits who comes in the middle of the night", as for the killing.

Gao Qi (1336-1374), also known as Ji Di, called himself Qingqiuzi. Together with Liu Ji and Song Lian, he was called "the three great poets of the early Ming Dynasty". In the first year of Ming Hongwu (1368), Gao Qi was summoned to the dynasty, and was appreciated by Zhu Yuanzhang, who ordered him to teach the kings and revise the "History of The Yuan". Two years later, Zhu Yuanzhang planned to appoint Gao Qi as the right attendant of the household department, but he resigned and returned to his hometown of Suzhou.

This poem of his is a poem with the title of "Lady of the Palace":

The female slave helped the drunk to step on the moss, and the Mingyue West Garden served a feast back. The puppy barks in the air, and who comes in the middle of the night palace?

At the end of the feast in the palace, when the palace maid returned, there was a puppy barking at the figure among the flowers, and it is estimated that this puppy was thinking, so late, who came over?

The "History of Ming" records that after Zhu Yuanzhang heard about this poem, he thought that there was a sarcasm in the poem, but Emperor Zhu still put up with it and did not punish him:

Qi tasted the poem, some irony, the emperor did not send it. History of the Ming Dynasty

However, Zhu Yuanzhang did not completely forget this matter. Later, Gao Qi was caught with a small braid because of the Wei Guan case, and as a result, he was tragically beheaded.

However, Hong Liangji introduced in the "Beijiang Poetry" that Gao Qi's poem is not entirely his own original, but an adaptation of the work of wang Ya, the poet of the Tang Dynasty.

I don't know if Di Shi really has a heritage, and the meaning is not created by Qiye. One of the thirty poems of Tang Wangya's "Palace Words": "The snow is blowing on the ground, and the habitual sleeping red carpet has not been alarmed." ..........。」 The meaning of the words is slightly the same as that of Di Shi, but it is slightly more subtle than Di Shi. "Beijiang Poetry"

Hong Liangji said that Gao Qi's poem used the "Palace Words" of the Middle And Tang Dynasty poet Wang Ya:

The snow was blowing on the ground, and the habitual sleeping red carpet was not alarmed. Who is more in the deep palace? Only the golden steps barked at the evening fireflies.

Wang Ya was the chancellor of the Tang Wenzong period, and Tang Wenzong always wanted to get rid of the eunuch forces, but in the Ganlu Rebellion, tang Wenzong and others failed in their plans, resulting in the emperor being placed under house arrest, Wang Ya and other important ministers were killed, and his family was also implicated and destroyed.

This poem by Gao Qizuo and this poem by Wang Yazuo are two things the same and two different.

The difference is that Wang Ya's puppy, in a field of fireflies, Gao Qi's puppy is in the flower bush. Another difference is that Wang Ya did not get into trouble because of this poem.

The same thing is that Wang Ya and Gao Qi wrote the same scene, which means the same thing, the puppies in the palace, frightened by the palace people, barked wildly in the night.

Another similarity is tragic, two people with the same ending, both cut off.

During the change of Ganlu, Wang Ya was captured by the eunuch henchmen and beheaded under the willow tree in the southwest corner of the sub-city, and the whole family was cursed. Gao Qi was implicated in the Wei Guan case and was also beheaded.

The cause of Gao Qi's death caused discussion among many poetry critics in the Qing Dynasty. Hong Liangji believes that Gao Qi is because of this poem "Jia Disaster, as for Killing".

Zhao Yi quoted Jiang Yikui (Ming) in the Oubei Poetry as "Yaoshan Tang Waiji", which is also considered to be a poetic disaster:

The death of Qingqiu, according to the "Yaoshan Tang Waiji", said that it had the "Title Palace Girl Map" cloud: "The puppy barks in the air across the flowers, and who is forbidden to come in the palace at night?" "Ming Zu heard of it, so it was a disaster. Oubei Poetry

But he also proposed that Gao Qi's similar poems are more than this one:

According to Qingqiu, there is also a cloud of "Inscription Dog": "Mo Xiangyao steps bark at the shadow of the figure, and the sheep cart leaves the deep palace in the middle of the night." It is more than the sentence "barking at the flowers". Oubei Poetry

Gao Qi should not have caused the disaster of killing himself because of this poem.

The biography written by Li Zhiguang is said to be Qi Xie Shi Gui Li, Wei Guan Shou Su, very courteous to Qi, Qi had no choice, for his guests, so he even trampled to death, and passed it on to Hongwu Yidi, so he did not say that he was condemned. Then Qingqiu seemed to be specially tired of Wei Guan. However, the "History of Ming" is said to be "qi taste fu poems, some irony, the emperor has not yet been issued." Returning home, he reformed the county rule with guan, Qi Wei composed "Shangliang Wen", the emperor was angry, and then he was beheaded in the city." It was Qingqiu who first summoned suspicion with poetry, and the misfortune was also caused by Guan Zhi's Shangliang Wen. Oubei Poetry

According to the History of Ming, Gao Qi first caused Zhu Yuanzhang's displeasure because of this poem, and later the incident of giving Wei Guan the "Shangliang Wen", so he finally angered Emperor Zhu and was killed.

In Qian Qianyi's "Collected Poems of the Dynasties", there is another point of view:

The puppy barked in the air, and no one came in the middle of the night palace. Wu Zhongye Shi zai Ji Di was cursed by this poem, Yu Chu thought it was nonsense, and Guan Guo Chu showed that li Han's nephew Xiao Hou Shu (李汉公子) and Xiao Hou (朱小侯爰書) contained in the Records of the First Revelation of the GuanGuo Dynasty, and Emperor Gao's edict Yu Zhanghou Hou's guilt, at first there was no hidden word, then it was known that Ji Di wrote this poem for a purpose. The poem of irony, although wonderful in ancient and modern times, thus touching the wrath of Emperor Gao, pretending to be in wei shou's prison, is also all the reason. The commentators elaborate.

Qian Qianyi believes that Zhu Yuanzhang is killing because of this poem, but it is not good to attack, "Wei Shou's Prison", just borrow the title to play.

The real culprit is this poem. I don't know who Wei Guan and Gao Qi are involved in.

Bai Juyi once said that the satirical poetry that I am proud of is not loved by the world, but what I like is my "miscellaneous poems and "long hate songs".

If he lived in the Ming Dynasty, didn't he know that he could still write satirical poems? If the "Long Hate Song" is written about the emperor of this dynasty, it is estimated that there is no good fruit to eat.

Unlike the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Zhu was not a person who liked to write poetry, and the Ming Dynasty did not examine the creation of poetry.
