This is a typical palace poem, also called a erotic love poem, every word is gorgeous, and the use of a lot of allusions to the love affairs of men and women, the whole poem has a theme: I want to sleep with you. To say connotation, that is not at all wow.
The era in which Zhang Ruoxuan lived has entered the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and the poetic style has undergone the reform of the early Tang Dynasty Sijie and Chen Ziang and others, and has abandoned the hedonism that only focuses on luxury, so although Zhang Ruoxuan's "Spring River Flower Moon Night" is also a palace poem, compared to his predecessors, in addition to exaggerated and gorgeous words, there are still some connotations.
For example, the same as the old title of "Spring River Flower Moon Night", the work of the Sui Dynasty Emperor is as follows:
The night dew contains flowers, and the spring pond is full of moonlight.
