On December 15, the box car debut and brand launch conference was held in Beijing, focusing on the first two models of the B-end track: the BM-400 main car, online car and taxi market, which is planned to achieve mass production in 2023; the BM-600 is aimed at the mid-to-high-end rental market to meet the needs of high-quality travel, and is expected to be mass-produced and listed in 2024. At present, the BM-400 model has won 42,000 intentional orders.

At the press conference, Zhang Shuguang, founder and president of Box Car, said: "Box Car will build a new travel value system around the city, operating partners, drivers and passengers, and become a super player in China's travel market. ”

It is reported that Box Car is committed to creating China's original "national travel car". In view of the operation and use scenarios of B-end online ride-hailing, it not only pioneered the L-shaped seat layout and released the potential of space customization in different scenarios, but also through the self-developed "octopus" platform - modular chassis, and the digital intelligent interaction platform HIGHDO system, while reducing the manufacturing cost of the vehicle, increasing the income of the operation end and the driver side, and creating a new travel service ecosystem for sustainable development.

From the perspective of the overall environment, China's huge travel market provides fertile growth soil for box cars. According to China's Ministry of Transport, the total number of active cruise taxis in the country is 1.38 million, and the number of online ride-hailing vehicles is even higher. In this context, Box Car decided to set up a car company focusing on B-end travel.

In order to achieve the optimal goal of space and cost of operating vehicles, Box Car adopts the ultimate "subtractive thinking" strategy when defining products, and greatly optimizes the product functions that are rarely used in consumer travel. In terms of exterior design, based on the low utilization rate of the left rear door of the travel vehicle, the box car directly adopts the "two-door structure" of the driving door + side sliding door, and abandons the left door. The right door uses a spaceless sliding form to facilitate passengers to get on and off the bus.

The first "L-shaped" seat layout, using a "1+1+3" seat distribution, makes the space between the second and third rows become unprecedentedly open; the single seat in the third row becomes the "King Seat", with a 30° elevation angle of business seats and a top leg rest, bringing passengers unlimited relaxation to the ride experience. When the space inside the car is released, the box car becomes a mobile intelligent space carrier, bringing more comfort to passengers and creating more income for drivers.

In the future, drivers and passengers can get on the bus with large luggage, wheelchairs, and pets; beds can be set up in the car for drivers to rest; or vending machines can be placed to provide hot and cold drinks, snacks, rain ponchos and other goods that are in immediate demand according to the season, so as to open up a more flexible profit model for the operation.
